In a sour commentary, NYT Deputy Opinion Editor Patrick Healy said he'd 'cringed' when former president Bill Clinton took the convention stage on Tuesday to claim that Harris would be 'the president of joy'..... Harris can't coast on "joy",' he concluded witheringly. How's that going to help the millions of Americans whose livelihoods are now at stake, Healey asked?
On Monday, the newspaper published a guest essay titled 'Trump can win on character', by conservative commentator Rich Lowry......Pulling no punches, Lowry wrote that Harris is 'weak and a phony and doesn't truly care about the country or the middle class.'
Another Times guest essay, written by veteran financial journalist Roger Lowenstein and published on Tuesday, took further aim at Harris's economic policy.
In the article ...Lowenstein slammed Harris as 'censorious and vague' in her plan to unveil communist-style 'price controls' on supermarkets. 'Forget that her proposal addresses a problem that no longer exists…More dismaying was her seeming ignorance that price controls, almost without exception, have led to shortages, supply chain disruptions and eventually higher prices,'
And it's not just the Times. .......

Maybe they do want to lose this one?
I wouldn’t want my party in charge when this music stops.
I sure hope her brat summer is over.
The Fake and The Snake.
She seems like an empty vessel that the handlers will hope you will fill with your own hopes. The stolen valor VP candidate comes across like a sales person who will tell you many false stories in the hopes something will be unquestioned enough to make a sale.
Rich Lowery? Come on. He’s a guy who can’t deny the undeniable. Ok, so give him a Captain Obvious cookie.
I called this months ago. Kamala Harris isn’t going to be the next President. Her ceiling is VP or a statewide office in California, Illinois, or New York.
She’s a much weaker candidate than Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden were in 2016 & 2020.
If the RFK Jr. endorsement of President Trump has a significant effect on polls (remains to be seen) the Democrats may do yet another about about face and try to dump Kamala.
No primary voters voted for her anyway—the DNC can do whatever they want—we know the delegates will stampede in any direction as long as dollar signs are waved in front of them.
I think the fact that the Govt renamed Trump’s charges and charged him again which will go NO PLACE, and that they want to keep RFK Jr on the ballot in Michigan when he had to jump through hoops to even get his name in the first place tells you everything..the polls showing Harris with the lead are BOGUS..no one who is winning behaves like that, no one who is winning needs the Govt to charge all over again, their opposition unless they are truly losing
The New York Times doesn’t turn on anybody, the shadow government does.
Paving the runway for the real candidate, big Mike.
I’ve been reading the democrat websites for weeks now and nothing has changed in their mentality since the anti Biden coup.
Many are calling this a blue wave election, like FDR vs Hoover in 1932.
The reality is this will be more like 2016 & 2020 than 1932, 1936, 1964, 1972, 1984, etc.
The Dems know they will lose—just padding the fall so it will not be so bad. Maybe they can let Trump take the fall for the coming war and stock market failure? Turn him into Herbert Hoover for the big upset in 2028-—Vance vs. Newsom.
“Paving the runway for the real candidate, big Mike.”
That’s what I’m thinking.
At this point it will either be Hairass or Walz, they can’t legally do anything else unless both the candidates die
Ahh…. don’t give them ideas! ;-)
There have been a very very FEW polls published since RFK Jr. announced his support for President Trump. If the polls were the least bit beneficial to Kambala they would have been blasted in our face by now.
I'm thinking that they keep running each poll over and over until something shows up which can be given a positive spin.
Her 330 million Covid deaths and some of her other word salad interviews have shown her to be a real lightweight.
It is my hope that in the coming Trump debate she does a “Biden” and the Dem’s go into full panic mode.

I believe it was yesterday that it was posted that Pennsylvania is already saying that they won’t have all the votes counted on election night; media be damned, the state will have the outcome it wants.
