The family of former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. ripped his decision to endorse former President Donald Trump on Friday.
“We want an America filled with hope and bound together by a shared vision of a brighter future, a future defined by individual freedom, economic promise and national pride,” the family said in a statement.
“We believe in Harris and Walz. Our brother Bobby’s decision to endorse Trump today is a betrayal of the values that our father and our family hold most dear. It is a sad ending to a sad story,” they said:

Kennedy endorsed Trump the day after the Democratic National Convention ended and following financial woes.
Earlier in August, a report indicated he would endorse Harris, but Kennedy immediately released a statement denying the report.

Anyone person has the right to speak for themselves and maybe if the Democratic party hadn’t gone so so far to the left, this endorsement wouldn’t have happened.

RFK Jr. may be an a-hole (check his wiki under personal life), but he’s our a-hole now and I hope he fights like hell.
He clearly knew this would be the reaction, he said so in his speech.
But - he did it anyway. Because he is a man who puts his values and beliefs above party or politics - and that includes family politics. Besides, since when have the Kennedys really been in favor of anything that is right and good? RFK Jr. is clearly the exception - I’m sure it won’t belong before Caroline sues him to stop using the term “uncles”...
Hopefully November will bring news that will compensate for a cold-war Thanksgiving in Hyannis Port!
