Despite your rah-rah nonsense, the Ukrainian front lines are crumbling everywhere. The little diversionary attack came to an abrupt halt long before reaching its goal of Kursk and the NPP. The net result of this latest Ukraine fiasco yet again brings to mind General Patton: “No dumb bastard ever won a war by going out and dying for his country. He won it by making some other dumb bastard die for his country.”

Ukraine has propaganda. Ukrainian propagandists are served by less talented stenographers such as yourself. Propaganda does not win military conflicts. Russia has soldiers and guns. That is what wins military conflicts.

The Russians are destroying Ukrainian cities, soldiers and equipment. The Ukrainian losses have become horrific. Dragging grandfathers off the street and pressing them directly into service is no way to fight a war.

God does not start wars or intervene in them. The thought that God would intervene to help some of His children to beat others to death is ungodly.

However these small steps forward are achieved through the approach of high attrition and the inevitable operational exhaustion is just a matter of time which will be followed up by a slowdown. These slowdowns allow Ukrainians to create new fortifications annihilating any Russian chance of achieving an operational break-through and success like Ukrainians recently managed to achieve in the KK direction.”

The corrupt Ukrainian kleptocracy has proved repeatedly that it took money meant for fortifications, supposedly spent the money on fortifications, the money disappeared, and when Russians approached, the fortifications were nowhere to be found. The result was rich dirtbags and dead Ukrainian soldiers.

There has been no success in the Kursk disaster. There were a few rah-rah press releases followed by the halting and entrapment of the Ukrainian troops. The Russians have no need to rush in and fight them in their trenches. They can just seal the border again and observe as the Ukro-Nazis replicate the last stand at Avostal. Even that group of nitwits finally figured out they had nothing better to do than crawl out of their hole in the ground and get on the bus. They surrendered, or as the Ukrainian propagandists/stenographers put it, they successfully executed the evacuation manuever.

While the Ukrainians ponder their plight, the Russians can fly over and drop 500Kg bombs on their heads until tey get their minds right.

Ukraine drone strikes on Russian oil refineries:

The Russian GDP is said to be growing at a rapid rate -- 3.5% if I remember correctly -- but that is 100% focused on war production, none of it goes for basic needs like roads, bridges, dams, hospitals, central heating systems, etc. and those are in advanced stages of collapse.

In an effort to control inflation, Russia's central bank recently raised basic interest rates to 18%, one of the highest in the world.
The Biden-Harris Federal Reserve current interest rate is about 5.5%, up from Pres. Trump's 2019 rate of 1.5%.

Western economic sanctions on Russia have hurt but not shut down Russia's economy, thanks to funding from China and increased exports to India.

Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian oil refineries have all but eliminated Russian exports of high-margin refined oil products, leaving only crude exports, about half of those via Russia's surreptitious Shadow Fleet.

Russia's unemployment rate is quite low, low enough to force Russian military recruiters to pay increasingly high bonuses for enlistment contracts, up to levels which are now approaching compensation in Western peacetime armies.

So, there's no doubt that Russia's economy is struggling, but can it survive such challenges?

Ukrainians have only reported accurately that, despite the plume of black smoke from one cooling tower, there was no increase in radioactivity, suggesting whatever caused the smoke was not nuclear related.

The claim of Russians burning tires to make smoke at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant came from the mayor of Nikopol, Ukraine, about four miles away from the plant, not from Zelenskyy.

As for Zelenskyy's future, we might well remember that even Winston Churchill himself was defeated for reelection in July 1945, three months after the German surrender at the end of WWII.

Churchill was reelected as Prime Minister in 1951.

Both Britain in WWII and Ukraine today depended for victory on their own indefatigable courage and massive foreign aid -- as had Americans from 1776-1781.

The facts are, that after Vlad's failed invasion, Spring and Summer of 2022, Ukrainians pushed Russians out of about half the territories Russians had occupied, and the battle-lines have not changed much since, despite Russians throwing hundreds of thousands of "Meat Wave" troops at Ukrainian defenses.

In the past year, Russian advances have averaged about a square mile per day at a cost of around 1,000 Russian casualties and 100 military vehicles per day, with a ratio of roughly six Russian casualties when Russians attack to every one Ukrainian, when Ukrainians defend.
Sure, dispute those numbers if you want, but they are as good as any I can find from other sources.

In 2023 Ukrainians on defense reported roughly three Russian casualties to every one of their own.
In 2024 that ratio, when Ukraine is on defense, rose to six to one and occasionally ten to one during Russia's insane "Meat Wave" assaults.

And after all that, Ukraine gained more territory in Kursk in a week than Russia gained in all of Ukraine since the summer of 2022.

So, sure, if you call all that "winning", then I'd have to guess that "winning", like beauty is in the eyes of the beholder?
To me it looks pretty ugly for Russia right now.
