A near-week of threats hasn’t had the hoped-for impact for Sir Keir Starmer, who on Monday announced a change of tack with the establishment of a “standing army” to crush riots where they appeared.
The Prime Minister, a seasoned lawyer with a usually assured and slick style seemed unsure of his words at times and lacked his normal energy as he spoke to journalists on Monday after he stepped out of a government crisis meeting.
Speaking at his official residence and office Downing Street, where it appears a certain degree of bunker mentality has set in — the husband of the Home Secretary (Interior Minister) complained his hadn’t seen his wife in a week on national television this morning — Sir Keir said of what had been agreed as the next steps: “The first is we’ll have a standing army of specialist officers… [unintelligible]… so what we’ll have enough officers to deal with this where we need them”.

I do not recall him ever doing this against muslim rioters, sure sounds like 2 tiers to me.

Starmer may talk tough, but he’s got no prison space to back up his tough talk.
I bet it’s a standing army of Muslim soldiers. It will be intended to deal with the rioters. But it will join with them.
Sounds like UK or England is ready for revolution. Are the ready to off the heads of their inbred monarchy, kick out their immigrants, and take back their country?
My my, that two-tier justice question appears to have stricken a nerve. I don’t think a noisy denial and the institution of a thug squad is going to suffice as an answer, though.

Sounds more hopeful than resolute to me. What if there isn't enough? Will Brits shoot unarmed Brits? That is not going to look good.
Now he has a “Sir” title,eh? Libs love their titles of nobility.

Whatever, it’s refreshing to see native born white people doing the rioting for a change.
I don’t believe that our media elites have a real sense of where this is now going. With this announcement the PM has declared war on well over half the country. I don’t know if it’s taught in the schools but we could be seeing the words of Paine and Henry sprouting up 3,000 miles and 250 years from the land of their birth.
I think they're too self-absorbed to realize what's going on in other places in the world. Obviously, right now they're focused with the presidential election here in this country.
