International Boxing Association (IBA) will award Angela Carini, who abandoned the fight against Algeria’s Imane Khelif at Paris 2024 Games after 46 seconds of the first round, the IBA prize money as if she were an Olympic champion, President Umar Kremlev claimed.
Carini refused to continue the fight against Khelif from the last 16 in Paris, as she mentioned that she wasn’t able to continue.
‘I couldn’t look at her tears,’ President Kremlev said. ‘I am not indifferent to such situations, and I can assure that we will protect each boxer. I do not understand why they kill women’s boxing. Only eligible athletes should compete in the ring for the sake of safety.’
Kremlev also said that IBA will support Sitora Turdibekova of Uzbekistan. Today Turdibekova unanimously lost to Lin Yu-ting from Chinese Taipei, who was also deemed ineligible by the IBA back in 2023.
In May, the IBA leadership took a bold decision to award all Olympic champions and medallists of Paris 2024 allotted prize money. The unprecedented move in the history of the sport is aimed at supporting the athletes, coaches, and National Federations, as well as underpining IBA’s commitment to delivering the best support for its athletes, based on their hard work and dedication to the sport of boxing.

Good for the IBA not sanctioning men beating women.
That's justice.
Is there a full video of the beatdown of the woman by the man anywhere?
Frankly, I think this is the wrong move by the IBA. While I feel sympathy for Carini, I also think she made the wrong decision by even stepping in the ring with a Shemale.
When Algeria’s Imane Khelif gets back home he should expect to celebrate by leaping off a high building for being gay
If there is no difference as “they” sat where are the Olympic videos of biological women beating a man in boxing or any other event
If I could and not sure why someone hasn’t I would buy a WNBA team and stick it with all biological males, Micheal Jordan, Charlene barkly….
This team would win every game abs every championship till the other teams join suit, and watching the woke and the feminists not be able to say anything
it’s the beginning of rejection of this kind of sports behavior by men. She may have been wrong to step in the ring with this animal, but when you have been conditioned to fight, sometimes you just have to step into the ring. That’s not an excuse, but we have to begin somewhere and by them giving her an award. This is the beginning. Sometimes you have to get pummeled before you wake up.
I don’t see any of these fake females chomping at the bit to fight in Dana White’s UFC......Probably because they know the REAL women in that league would beat the hell out of ‘em.......freakin’ cowards.
you are going to end up with two biological males standing on the podium
this is going to force a change.
Female on a birth certificate doesn’t mean you are female. Chromosomes overrule it.
In this case, I think it is going to be simple. XY with a mutation in a different gene causing the issue.
They will still have to figure out how to deal with all the various mutations of XY, like XXXY Caroline Cossey. I think her birth certificate said male.
Leads to a question I have had in the back of my mind since I found out this cross-dresser was on the Olympic team for Algeria; how did the muzzies let this cross-dresser on the team in the first place?
Nice gesture, but she trained to get an Olympic Medal which money can’t buy. Shame on the IOC.
Newly-arrived Italians in America were once criticized for their love of the delectable Parmesan.
Men competing against women is unfair.
But they did, by allowing them to compete with women. They should have stood up & stated they would not allow women to compete against males who believe or claim to be women which is ludicrous on its face. Soo, his decision does not impress me at all.
Couldn’t they issue A statement condemning men pummeling women as a sport AND give her the dough?
“...by them giving her an award...”
Why not take that award from the country the male boxer represented. And charge them the cost of the action it took to do it. You can’t stop people from doing stupid things. But they can stop themselves. Make the country pay for their efforts that border on the edge of dishonesty. Legally I believe that’s called an accessory and they pay the same price. Make it more.
