Former President Donald Trump has taken a three-point lead over Vice President Kamala Harris nationally, according to a recent Harvard-Harris poll.
The poll, conducted between July 26 and 28, surveyed 2,196 voters registered voters nationally.
When asked who voters would pick if the presidential election were held today, 48 percent said they would vote for Trump and 45 percent said they would vote for Harris.

You have to remember that most polls are push polls right up to the election when they have to start reflecting reality - or whatever reality the ballot harvesters can support.

Polls all over the place
I’m seeing a lot of Blacks who don’t have any use for her.
I’m thinking these polls are about as honest as the 2020

not really. Harris closed the gap by a point or so. But even when you are behind by a point or two. You will occasionally get a poll showing you ahead, because the margin of error is 3 or so usually.
Harris got lucky and had a few of the more liberal pollsters put out polls right after she got the handoff, which made it look like she was doing better than she actually is. The more polls that come out (especially all the ones that were showing Trump up big over Biden) the more she will show her weakness.
I think she is 1.5-2 behind Trump nationally, and needs to be up 3 to win because of the electoral college. But Trump is already at about 48% nationally. So Harris basically has to win nearly ALL the remaining undecided votes to win. I just don’t believe that is going to happen.
Registered voters is a horrible way to poll especially this late in the game.

good post, her uptick in polls in other polls is what is called response bias, e.g. more eager Democrats answering polls, and these samples are often reflecting an unrealistic +6 Dem which does not reflect the electorate

And this Harris campaign disaster.
Intel was a huge beneficiary of the highly touted “Biden/Harris Chips Act” last March........an $8.5 billion outright grant (with attendant billion dollar insider bonuses), a $25 billion sweetheart tax incentive (part of Biden/Harris’ cockamamie $11 billion federal “loan program” as they spent trillions of tax dollars).
What did we, the people, get in exchange? Intel this week announced it was laying off 15% of its workforce — 15,000 positions. American taxpayers lost twice: billions of tax dollars and an economy minus thousands of jobs.
