President Biden’s decision to step aside as the expected Democratic nominee in November has “nothing to do with his health,” his top spokesperson said Wednesday ahead of his prime-time address to the nation.
“It has nothing to do with his health. The president is going to speak to this directly to the American people in prime time,” press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters during a briefing.
“In his letter he talked about the country, he talked about the party, he talked about the moment we’re in right now,” she continued. “It is not about his health. I can say no, that’s not the reason. But hear him out tonight.”
Jean-Pierre also rejected the idea that she and White House aides were engaged in a “cover up” to mask Biden’s decline from the public.
“There’s been no cover up, want to be very clear about that,” she said.

Polling showed from the start, and consistently (something the media ignored), of those that voted in 2020 and voted for Biden only about 80-85% planned to vote for him again... of those that voted in 2020 and voted fro Trump 97% planned to vote for him again.

So it was just an outright coup then. His polling was bad so he was “forced” to drop out. Is that what you are saying?
The Democrats had this per-planned all along. Think about it, why was their Convention so late this year. So late, they had to get several states to change their laws so they could still be on the ballot.
And why did we have a debate, so early this year. They knew Biden was a goner and they sent him out to fail, so they could kick him off the ballot and install their own candidate.
The only problem was they did NOT plan on it being Kamala. But their DEI crap came back to bite them and they were forced to keep her.
Well, I don’t want to be seen to be like those celebrities who are always promising to leave the US if Trump wins and then don’t.
But, I will leave and go to the Philippines if she wins...or loses. I am done. I will retire early next year and live off my social security and money I get for selling my house and everything I own.

Bull-shiite !! I would bet money that he was told by UpChuck, Pelousy, and the Kenyan Mulatto that making it to his next birthday was very unlikely unless he stepped aside.
I am hoping they get Joe Biden for solid evidence of influence peddling. That would be criminal, high crimes and misdemeanors. If he stepped down, that would avoid the embarrassment. History (Nixon) would be repeated.
