A man with a rifle could be seen on a rooftop minutes before shots were fired at a Donald Trump rally in Pennsylvania, a witness has told the BBC.
Greg, the witness, said the man was armed with a rifle and had crawled on top of a building just outside the event in Butler County on Friday evening.

"We noticed the guy bear-crawling up the roof of the building beside us, 50ft away from us," he said.
"He had a rifle, we could clearly see a rifle.
"We're pointing at him, the police are down there running around on the ground, we're like 'Hey man, there's a guy on the roof with a rifle'... and the police did not know what was going on."
Greg said he pointed at the gunman for three to four minutes to try to alert the authorities.
"We were telling the police, we were pointing at him for the Secret Service who were looking at us from the top of the barn."

Why did the Secret Service keep Trump up on that stage for minutes? The video was clear, one pair of agents said to move, but nothing happened until the 3d time they started to move him. Even then his head was still unprotected as they took him to the vehicle.
The Secret Service delayed moving him off the stage, keeping him in the Kill Zone.
This rooftop sniper may have been the triggerman, and some Antifa members may have been in on the plans, but you can bet a certain 3-letter government agency was behind it.
The point was to reiterate what Senator Schumer was saying about anybody who took on the deep state. Schumer should know. He's probably in their pocket.

As Robert F. Kennedy Jr. continues to seek Secret Service protection amid his independent bid for the presidency, his lawyer has received a document via the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) detailing 34 instances of threats and bizarre rants directed toward his client.
Newsweek reviewed portions from the 775-page FOIA document obtained by Kennedy attorney Aaron Siri, which provides some unreported details of previously known events along with some that were not known to the public.
Siri has sent at least six letters to U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas formally requesting protection. Last month, former House member Patrick Kennedy emailed Mayorkas, seeking answers for the denials as well.
“As a family member of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., as a former member of Congress, and as a member of the public, I struggle to understand the administration’s persistent refusal to grant Secret Service protection to a presidential candidate deemed by the Secret Service itself to be at elevated risk,” Patrick Kennedy wrote to Mayorkas in an email obtained by Newsweek.
