The gunman believed to have been behind the attempted assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump Saturday was shot and killed by Secret Service, sources told The Post.

The shooter, identified as a Chinese man, was in a sniper position located hundreds of yards away from Trump’s podium in Butler, Pa. as he spoke to a campaign crowd, sources said.

Actually, Anyone who has qualified on a military range could make that shot. 200 yards with a 5.56 is pretty standard.

Of course, shooting on a range and in real life are two very different things. And knowing there will be immediate return fire has to get your heart beating a bit. So, likely after the first shot, the shooter was just “wild.”

The Secret SErvice told somebody there that the bullet hit the teleprompter and Trump was hit by flying glass from it.

Because we know nothing about the shooter at this point, my guess is that FBI knows exactly who he is, has been under surveillance for months and that they're looking at the possibility of a second shooter....if this one was unsuccessful.
