Now is the summer of Republican content.
The G.O.P. is confident and unified. Donald Trump has held a consistent and widening lead over President Biden in all the battleground states. Never Trumpers have been exiled, purged or converted. The Supreme Court has eased many of Trump’s legal travails while his felony convictions in New York seem to have inflicted only minimal political damage — if they didn’t actually help him.
Best of all for Republicans, a diminished Joe Biden seems determined to stay in the race, leading a dispirited and divided party that thinks of its presumptive nominee as one might think of a colonoscopy: an unpleasant reminder of age. Even if Biden can be cajoled into quitting, his likeliest replacement is Vice President Kamala Harris, whose 37 percent approval rating is just around that of her boss. Do Democrats really think they can run on her non-handling of the border crisis, her reputation for managerial incompetence or her verbal gaffes?
In short, Republicans have good reason to think they’ll be back in the White House next January. Only then will the regrets set in.
Three in particular: First, Trump won’t slay the left; instead, he will re-energize and radicalize it. Second, Trump will be a down-ballot loser, leading to divided and paralyzed government. Third, Trump’s second-term personnel won’t be like the ones in his first. Instead, he will appoint his Trumpiest people and pursue his Trumpiest instincts. The results won’t be ones old-school Republicans want or expect.

XD XD... me too.
You just can’t tell these days. God only knows what funky hormones that meat-bag is shooting up with.
I’m guessing Trump will deport millions of the worst of the worst criminal illegals before the wall’s finished. The goal is to secure our borders and stop illegals from coming into our country. A wall is icing on that cake.
Oh No Brer Rabbit! Don’t throw me into the briar patch!!”
“The results won’t be ones old-school Republicans want or expect.”
Yeah? So?
Treason tribunals should comence immedetly.
Hey Brett, we don’t care what the old school republicans think. Second, Biden is merely a reflection of what the Democrat party’s platform looks like. More Dems are going to get canned in November than what the rats anticipate. Finally, radical leftist policies destroyed the country. People don’t want more of it.
We regret giving him space on FR.
“First, Trump won’t slay the left; instead, he will re-energize and radicalize it. “
That is an explicit threat.
This is true.
News for the NYT. The leftists are radicals. President Trump brings out the worst in them for the populace to see.
Second, Trump will be a down-ballot loser, leading to divided and paralyzed government.
In Ohio, Sherrod Brown is a border loser; he's all-in amnesty. Also, he always comes home in an election year to take credit for the good that Republicans accomplished. His ads really suck. This race is Moreno's to lose.
Third, Trump’s second-term personnel won’t be like the ones in his first. Instead, he will appoint his Trumpiest people and pursue his Trumpiest instincts. The results won’t be ones old-school Republicans want or expect.
President Trump knows who the RINOs are and the Deep-State losers foist on him by Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell. He probably has a very detailed list, and people like Mike Flynn can help him navigate the Washington minefields.
Another Jewish NeoCon.
A second Trump term will end Bush-style Republicanism forever.
The results won’t be ones old-school Republicans want or expect.>>> Thank God.
They say that like it's a bad thing.
Well gosh! I’ll take my chances!
Republicans Will Regret a Second Trump Term
_________________________________________________________
The only thing I regret are Democrats.
Not complaining enough. I expect self-immolation. C’mon, man, show some spirit!
Is this a warning or a threat?
Second, Trump is a down ballot winner. He has proven that time and time again. The Senate is almost certain to flip back to Republican control and Republicans already hold the House and look to be in a position to make some gains there. The Republicans controlling both houses and the White House looks likely.
Third, Trump won't fill his administration with backstabbing RINOs who will try to sabotage him at every turn?....meaning he is likely to get more done? The results won't be to the RINOs liking? I agree on all counts! That's probably the best part about it. You see, we hate the RINOs. We want to see them driven out of office and purged from the party. We want a lot of things done that they - as good little uniparty puppets - do not want. So bad news for them is great news for Conservatives and Populists.
