Long-range US missiles are to be deployed periodically in Germany from 2026 for the first time since the Cold War, in a decision announced at Nato's 75th anniversary summit.
The Tomahawk cruise, SM-6 and hypersonic missiles have a significantly longer range than existing missiles, the US and Germany said in a joint statement.
Such missiles would have been banned under a 1988 treaty between the US and former Soviet Union, but the pact fell apart five years ago.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Moscow would react with a "military reponse to the new threat".

Russia is mad? LOL. Russia and the US had a treaty not to deploy these, and then Russia pulled out of the treaty and now Russia is mad that they don’t have a treaty? Putin can go buy some big girl panties.

Russia scrapped the treaty, and China wasn’t a party to it.
It almost seems as if... well, as if maybe... but it couldn’t be... that they WANT to provoke a war.

Putin violated the treaty. The U.S. under Trump left the treaty. All the U.S. is doing now is countering in Western Europe what Putin already has in range of Western Europe. Yet, Putin will still use his western media (like on this venue) propogandists to make himself out to be the victim.
