Newsom? No. I kinda think the folks running the government need another dumb puppet on the order of Harris and Biden. Newsom appears to be a self thinker and highly motivated communist.
He would be too hard to control.
Now assuming Newsom is the new one, he has a very poor track record on just about any subject area as a governor. Kalifornia is the leader in our nation’s crashing to the bottom. His record alone is a huge stopper.
They are better off with another unknown nobody like obama was. Only a very dumb one with an IQ slightly better than what Harris has, which would be a one or two. Run this unknown with a slogan similar to “Hope & Change”, and they’ve got a winner with all the sheep and useful idiots.

Their best option may be RFK Jr., for all his flaws. It would defuse his third-party run, which might hurt the Dem ticket in November. Would he compromise his principles to accept the invitation? Yes of course he would.

Harris would be "packaged" as a poor downtrodden little black girl. She would take the black and women vote, and the idiot suburban "karens" and could be a significant challenge.

Actually Harris already has been 1st. She subbed in during Joe’s colonoscopy.
My money is on Newsom. There’s talk Kamala wants to run for CA governor. I don’t think she wants to be President. Her numbers are too bad in any case.
If they put Newsom on the ticket the polls will tighten because a lot of Dems will vote for him just because he’s not senile. Then the steal on Nov 5th won’t look so obvious.
Of course I’m on record as predicting the election will be postponed.
Newsom has that used car dealer look where you know he’s going to sell you a lemon for four times what it’s worth. Then you can look at California and know that’s exactly what he’s going to do.
