President Donald Trump’s campaign team is rewriting his Thursday night promise to grant green cards to any foreign graduates of four-year universities and two-year community colleges.
President Trump believes “we ought to keep the most skilled graduates who can make significant contributions to America … who would never undercut American wages or workers,” said the statement from spokeswoman Katherine Leavitt.

If you listen to the recording, it’s Trump riffing on something that polls well with the undecided voters he needs to win.

Take away availability of foreign hordes and even the worst leftist fag companies and academic programs will suddenly launch programs to encourage and assist Americans to enter fields "they don't want to do." All of the shortages (mostly contrived, exaggerated, or self-fulfilled prophesies) will vanish in a couple years. It might be painful for those couple years in the interim, but it beats increasing, increasing and increasing reliance on foreign swarmers, and Americans basically being imbecile subject people in the eyes of majority foreign born doctors, engineers, and soon lawyers, making Americans are basically colonized in their own land.

Does Trump not realize that these same graduates with their green cards will apply for jobs and will get them instead of qualified white American citizens? Little somethings called Affirmative Action and D.E.I. preferences will be used to exclude Americans. I know about this personally. I’ve worked in environments where foreigners with green cards, even applicants from the PRC, were given a preference in hiring and got jobs over American citizens who had better qualifications.
If you want to see D.E.I. preferences in action just look at the commercials on television these days. I rarely see a white person in any of them. You’d think we are living in Nigeria or South Africa. Companies are bending over backwards to show how woke they are. These commercials feature actors. I’ll bet there are a lot of out of work white American actors who are being rejected when they apply for jobs.
And now Trump wants to add insult to injury by dumping Communist Chinese and every other foreigner into the domestic labor pool to compete with Americans. Talk about being out of touch! A few Silicon Valley executives promise to grease his palm and he falls into line like a lapdog. He was practically giddy as he announced the green card policy he plans to enact if and when he becomes president.
I’m beginning to agree with Ann Coulter that Trump is faking his commitment to America First. It’s a lot of hooey to hoodwink gullible Americans into voting for him. I’ve watched his rallies on television. Those poor slobs in the crowds hanging on his every word. It’s pathetic. If he doesn’t withdraw this stupid idea, I’m not voting for him.
Someone is getting played, either MAGA or business business CEOs.
Legal immigrants do better in United State on average than native born Americans. The difference in average incomes is huge.
Then let them come through normal immigration channels. Interviews, long waits, etc. None of this H1-B or college holdover crud.

In 2017, 2018, and 2019 - before Covid - Trump Naturalized more new citizens, Trump issued more Green Cards, and Trump issued more foreign work visas, than Obama did in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
90% of the foreign STEM students that Trump wants to give Green Cards are completely average scientists and engineers who compete against completely average American scientists and engineers - by crushing the wage scale.
When adjusted for inflation, the starting wage for USA software engineers has not changed for the last 25 years.

Almost 70% of foreign born voters voted AGAINST Trump in 2020.
