Trump did plenty of rallies in 2020. The one in Tulsa cost $2m. Those rallies cost him the election. Huge chunks of the campaign season had Biden’s attack ads going unanswered. Most campaigns don’t do large rallies because it’s a waste of campaign cash and the time of already rabid supporters. The people who attend these things are already voting for the candidate. The only rally that counts is the rally that transports supporters to the voting booth and helps supporters send in their mail-in ballots. The rest is ads to influence the indifferent (aka independents).
