MSNBC host Al Sharpton said Wednesday on “Morning Joe” that claims former President Donald Trump helped build economic security for the black community was “absurdity.”
Sharpton said, “You must remember that after they stopped Reconstruction and went into this era that ended up with Plessy v. Ferguson, 1896, there was no legal change till 1954 with Brown v. Board of Education. You’re talking about a span of almost a century. We’re the only race that, by law, couldn’t do certain things. We had biases against others that came to the country, but we were named by law not to have equal rights. And we’re talking about my parents, my grandparents. So you’re right. You can’t erase that in a generation, because by law we couldn’t do certain things.

More than Sharpie has.
Trump has done more than Sharpton ever thought about doing.
I have a photo of Sharptongue and the revrun JACKsonnnnn embracing Trump at an event where Trump donated a substantial sum to their grift.
I’m traveling now, so I don’t have access to it.
paid your back taxes yet al ?
Translation: The Rev. Al ain’t getting his 10% cut from Trump.
is that old racist con man still around!???
They always project.
They stopped Reconstruction. Who is They? The Democrats.
... and went into this era that ended up with Plessy v. Ferguson, 1896, there was no legal change till 1954 with Brown v. Board of Education.
That's the Jim Crow era. That's "separate but equal". Who was doing all of that? The Democrats.
... You’re talking about a span of almost a century.
Well, 58 years. from 1896 to 1954. But if he means the end of Reconstruction, that was 1877. So 1877 to 1954 is 77 years. Not quite a century, but hold that thought ...

So now I think we're discussing the era from 1954 to 2024. That's 70 years. That's about 3 generations. And it's been downhill for blacks that whole time. Not because of the law. But because the blacks kept voting for their Democrat oppressors who kept screwing them over.
The Republicans have always been the best friends to the blacks. But some folks are just too dumb to see it.
There’s all kinds of pictures of lollipop head with President Trump on the net......Sharpton will continue to live and die as a two faced race baiting snake in the grass.
Tawana Brawley....nuff said.
I once posted the video for this, many years ago, and Sharpton was also right there with Jackson in the video where they both praised Trump. So far I can’t find the video but here’s an article about it.

Sharpton is no more a "Rev." than I am. He never went to Divinity School, he has never had a congregation or church. He was "ordained" by a DC preacher at age 10 and has perpetuated the lie ever since. He always takes the position that blacks are the victim. And even when he's proven wrong (Tawana Brawley, the Duke Five, etc.), he never admits he wrong. He's a total fraud.
Chrissakes, never call him “Sharp Tongue “. Someone with a “ sharp tongue “ is clever, witty and intelligent. This guy isn’t any of those.. This guy is a charlatan plain and simple. This guy is also a scumbag
I’d be willing to bet that Trump has donated more, and helped more black people (personally) than Biden could ever think about (using his own stolen resources).
Sharpton was happy taking Trumps money.
Maybe Sharpton wasn’t in the video, but the point is made:
Mark Steyn in his great wit once referred to: The noted theologian, Al Sharpton
How many black men have gotten to earn an honest day’s pay for an honest day’s work because of something Mr. Trump did?
