I’m going to have to go back in the stream to see if I can see the lightning bolt and hear the thunder. Those showers I saw earlier got down there quicker than I thought they would, and there are still more swinging down your way.
I can see a few others off in the distance as the cam pans.
Cool that you’re getting some thunder this time.

It sounds like you’re getting a taste of this heat wave, too, though your temps sound mighty good to me. LOL Poor Putu is probably miserable dealing with 81 degrees and no AC. I know you aren’t thrilled either since you aren’t used to temps that warm. 70s down here is “throw open the windows for some fresh air!” LOL

It’s always nice to see gas prices go down, even if it’s a little.

YAY! Clean car! And you didn’t have to do the rubbing. I never get that lucky. Nice of them to set up on your route home.

I heard a few thumps and bumps but couldn’t see lightning flashes. The cam wasn’t pointing in your direction at the time. I can see how black and ugly it was at the time though. Looks like it was raining HARD.

Howdy, luvie.
I see you made it home. I hope the traffic wasn’t too bad.
I imagine there are a lot of happy kitties at the homestead tonight!

Hey there, radu!

The traffic wasn’t awful except for pokey drivers, and, yes, the kitties are seemingly happy. Peaches is ridiculously so. He has been my very vocal shadow from the moment I walked in the door. I tried to take a nap, but he kept needing more love. LOL! Of course, I obliged! :)

Hope you’ve had a good weekend! Did you get any rain?

I can tell you I’m going to sleep early tonight. I’m whupped! LOL!

Glad it wasn’t too bad a drive home. Pokey drivers can be an aggravation, though, when you want to get the drive over with. LOL

I figured Peaches would be your second shadow tonight. “You left me aaaaaall aloooooone, Mommy!” I hope he’ll let you get some sleep tonight.

No rain today. Just VERY hot. I waited until after 7:00 to make a store run and it had cooled down to 84 by then, which wasn’t too bad.
There’s a slight chance for showers tomorrow but we’ll see how that works out here. The corn could use a drink but it’s doing pretty well so far. The poor tiny soybeans in the field across the road are desperate.

They just won’t put 80s anywhere in the forecast or up chances for rain. There’s at least another week of this mess.

There was a BIG rainbow over your side of town a little while ago. It lasted a long time and the cam op was kind enough to leave the cam aimed in that direction for the duration.

Well, it’s still 87 here. It’s breezy, so it’s not awful, but my hair feels like straw again with this low humidity.

I hope you get some rain there before all the hard work the farmers have put into their crops doesn’t go to waste.

I think I’m going to finish this show and head out. I can barely keep my head up. See ya tomorrow when I feel more human. LOL!

Ugh! That’s pretty warm for this time of night. It’s about 10 degrees cooler here with no breeze. A front went through last night that dropped our humidity a little and that helps. But it’s going back up tomorrow along with the temperature.

I hope we can get some rain too. Bad enough that it’s dry but with the intense heat, it’s for so long a time, it’s going to do a number on the crops. I noticed this evening when I headed out that the corn is putting out tassels.

I hope Peaches lets you get some sleep! Good luck!
Catch ya tomorrow.

A very pleasant good Sunday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Happy Father's Day, thanks for your service to our country.

Yesterday at Comanche Lake:

We also had ribs for supper before we went to the lake:

How's everyone doing this morning?

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

It must not be as hot over there as it is here. That, or you don’t stay at the lake very long. At least you’re able to get out for some fun with Gizmo.

Yep, it wasn’t too hot out there. We had a breeze which helped things out. Also saw a family doing some recreational activities, swimming and such.

Gotta say I’m jealous. It’s too hot to consider spending any length of time outside until after 6:00.
Or early in the morning and that’s sleep time for me. LOL

I hope your luck holds up so you and Gizmo won’t miss out on your fun.

Lots of thunder and a couple downpours...very short-lived, but 2/10 in the gauge. I’ll take it. It was fun to watch.

Good morning, luvie, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.

Hope you slept well. You had to be beat after your drive.

It rained really hard, but just for a few minutes and with the sun shining!

It was just raining over in your area. Everywhere else was clear and bright. LOL It was crazy to watch on the Lake Hood cam.

Wasn’t that pretty? And it was BIG! It tried to do a double rainbow but that didn’t work out too well.
