Criminals have been hit with nearly 25% more injuries at the hands of police officers so far this year, newly released NYPD data shows.
From Jan. 1 to March 31, 1,131 offenders citywide were hurt by cops using force against them, compared to 913 during the same period in 2023.
However, New York’s Finest have also suffered 7% more injuries while battling lawbreakers through the first quarter in 2024 (1,342-1,251).
The shocking “Use of Force” stats further reveal a 20% rise in the number of violent encounters between cops and suspects overall — 2,590 so far this year compared to 2023.
The use of a weapon came into play on 19 occasions in the first quarter of 2024, and firearms were involved 10 times.

Juiced they put up a fight. I don’t feel sorry about that. It’s the police taking their BS, pansy government orders.
The usual suspects’ first instinct is to flee.
The second instinct is to fight like he#.
I really think they need hard mandatory sentencing for anyone who runs from a cop or resists arrest. Rodney King, George Floyd, and so many others — they caused the problems because they were dumbasses. Make those people pay.
Too bad.
Don’t commit crimes.
Defund the police. Leave New York criminals alone. We can’t hurt the poor babies. Just get rid of all the cops and let New York become the peaceful utopia that is any nice democrat run diverse city.
And keep shipping those illegals in .
I enjoy watching live crime bodycam youtube videos. There is video after video of thugs kicking, fighting, biting, scratching, and spitting on cops racking up several felonies for assault on LEOs. Nearly every single time, when the video comes to an end and announces the charges and the sentence, every single felony assault charge on a LEO is dropped. I can’t imagine why ANYONE would want to be a cop. Especially in a blue city.
more resisting arrest
Once was watching a scene between driver and a cop outside of Carnegie Hall. A guy walked up to watch, late into the action, and said, “Did you see that? She just closed the car door on his hand!” I told him that was because he had just tried to run her over with his car.

Perhaps use of force has become more necessary, which accounts for why police injuries are increasing also.
Elizabeth Vargas’ show iCrime presented day after day of wild-eyed, screaming banshees confronted by police after they flailed at passersby or drivers whose cars they hit.
No one could handle these freaks without some form of force.
Social workers’ mindfulness affirmations won’t make it.

Free speech, except when I don't like it. Are you different from the left?
In a White city, you wouldn’t need police.
Physically trapping Jewish students inside buildings is "free speech"? Preventing them from attending class is "free speech"?
I was calm. They were geared for a fight ready to arrest me. They all talked at the same time that I didn't know who to listen to. I ended up ignoring them. They were irrational, confrontational. I really bit my tongue from not saying F-off. I tried to "work" with them but what ever I said they negated. They just wanted to arrest me. At the end they had to do what I said.
This experience showed me that cops can make a calm situation, chaotic. I did wonder if they were all vaxinated.
Every time I see that commercial I can't stop laughing. It's stupid. If I was an employer I'd never hire someone taking that little pill. All they do is sing and dance and eat.
Who unplugged that copier and why is that copier so far away from the outlet?
