Is Yemen essentially a failed country? With no unified control over its territory and what actors are operating from it? I also realize the Houthi “rebels” may have allies among and sympathy from the nominal “central” yemeni government, or at least are left alone by them to launch attacks from there. Pretty good sized country too, Wouldn’t be a cakewalk to occupy and sweep out the trash there, in terms of manpower needed.
They are a bunch of goat herders armed and trained by the Iranians. If we had the will we could wipe them out in a week. But under this administration….

I don’t think the public is really aware of what sort of instability that was caused by us with our attempt of expanding NATO into former Soviet Republics and Russian border states, once again. The reverb will be global.
