Gov. Katie Hobbs defied Arizona law when she circumvented the Senate and nominated directors of statewide agencies without legislative approval, a judge ruled on June 5.
After the Democrat struggled to get many of her director nominees through a newly created Republican-led Senate approval committee last year, Hobbs went around the chamber and instead appointed deputy directors that essentially served as directors. Agency directors are subject to Senate approval, but deputy directors are not.
Senate President Warren Petersen, a Queen Creek Republican, filed a suit in December, accusing Hobbs of violating state law by circumventing legislative hearings for her appointees and asking the Maricopa County Superior Court to restore the decades-long practice of requiring Senate approval for nominees.
In a January court filing in which he asked for the case to be dismissed, Andy Gaona, Hobbs’ attorney, blamed the Senate for essentially giving the governor no other choice than to sidestep the Senate’s Committee on Director Nominations, saying the panel was “designed to slow-walk nominees.”
But Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Scott Blaney, who was appointed in 2018 by Republican then-Gov. Doug Ducey, ruled that “the Governor has improperly, unilaterally appointed de facto directors for these 13 agencies, despite the actual job title she has assigned to each of them.”
Blaney conceded that Hobbs’ strategy to appoint deputy directors instead of directors “arguably” complied with some portions of state statutes regarding her duties as governor, but wrote in his decision that she “took those actions for an improper purpose, culminating in an improper result — one that violates Arizona law.”
“We do not … construe statutory phrases in isolation; we read statutes as a whole,” Blaney wrote.
The judge concluded that Hobbs must comply with state statutes that require her to nominate agency directors within a certain timeframe

She will. Even though she’s been told to fix this, is there any authority that can force her to do it? I figure Satan can lead her in the right direction to find a work-around.

The fix is in for most all dems in any kind of office. There is no law except what they makeup at the time. If we don't like it we need to vote the dirty commie dems out of office.
First we need to fix the massive voter fraud in Maricopa county. The fraud happens centered around Runbeck printing. All Maricopa County election ballots are delivered to Runbeck which does: who knows what to them. Then they are sent to the county elections office in Phoenix.
There is no telling what Runbeck does to the ballots. Are they real? Made up? Phony names,70 voters living in one address, ballot stuffing that goes to runbeck,on and on.
Maricopa County is Arizona, they know it and with 62% of the vote they control the state. It's the fourth largest county in the country and Phoenix,Mesa and Chandler compose the fifth largest city in the country.
The state can be,and is, run simply by compromising the Phoenix area within Maricopa county. This has been done year after year. Just ask Kari Lake who has been all over their ass for years now. We won't get much traction until the November elections and even than if Runbeck is still running the show don't expect a fair election.
Runbeck just bought new equipment that is likely designed to make sure the dirty dems stay in power.

Runbeck spent millions to make sure the dirty dems keep power in Arizona. Will they become a symbol of how the dirty dems will takeover other big metropolis'? Just like Libya was the model for taking over a country which is being done to the US as we type. Here's Kari Lake and the "Boss" currently running for Senate. But will it matter if Maricopa continues to be compromised left.?

The Hogg’s Glutus Maximus belongs in prison. Everything she did to take over the state of Arizona for the global communists appears to be illegal. I can’t believe she got away with running her own election. That’s fascism.

I bet she felt mighty empowered after overseeing her own election.
