(Reuters) -Shares of Nvidia rallied to record highs on Wednesday, with the AI chipmaker's stock market valuation hitting the $3 trillion mark and overtaking Apple to become the world's second most valuable company.

I know.

I remember looking at it a couple years ago at 100 dollars a share and wondering if I should pick up some shares.

I decided not to. Good call..right?

Microsoft. This chart is a little dated, but I think Nvidia is going to top Microsoft after the stock split, which happens at the end of the week.

I bought in at $83+ a share. I wish I would have purchased more. Then I attended Nvidia’s 2019 GTC. I wish I would have purchased even more...

Is the company actually currently making enough money to justify the valuation or is this all based on AI related hype?

Wife suggested after watching somebody on Fox Business a few months back that I buy 10K worth of Nvidia, I bought 30K instead. It was pricey, only bought me 35 shares.

It’s made me $12,000 to date......Smart lady.

Its PE is pretty friggin high....and yeah...I think there is a good amount of AI hype baked into the price.

NVDA’s PE is 71 by my data.

MSFT and AAPL are in the mid to low 30s for comparison.

But they keep making their projected earnings, and they keep putting out crazy good guidance during earning calls....which is why its so high.

My bro has 850 shs. If I told you that I wasn’t envious of him making $30K-$50K a day sitting on his ass, I’d be lying bigly.
When this splits on Friday, I’d be surprised if it didn’t run up another 100-200 points.

Nothing extraordinary....I have just noticed lately that women named “Nancy” tend to be outstanding stock pickers.

No one really knows how or why.

He should sell some covered calls against some of those shares, the Implied volatility on the options makes selling them very lucrative.

“Good call..right?”

P/E ratio seems high.

Dividend yield low.

Growth in revenue potential high.

Mass formation psychosis [stock market price gain chasing —> price momentum]

I’m happy that a broker/wealth mgt person bought some for my wife’s account within the last 12 months.

Apparently Nvidia makes a $40000 “graphics” card for AI “blades”.
