Palestine is the name of a region. Not a nation. Not a people. Its the name of a region. The demographic group with the deepest history in that region are the Jews, but they are not the only people with history there.
There is one government in that region plus several war-lord like tribes at war with each other but also united in some genocidal mania against the Jewish people in Palestine. One might as well recognize the mafia or the KKK or BLM or some such as a government than recognize one of these war lord tribes as one.
