Closing arguments. Your thoughts?
So prosecutor claimed that Trump cannot shoot someone on 5th avenue. After sustained objection, according to Turley, the prosecution rested. What a last minute cheapshot. Tomorrow morning starts with instructions.

Thanks. I am not claiming that a conviction in impossible, but I get tired of all these “psychics” who claim they know what is going to happen.
Now that you bring that up.... I think Steinglass was trying to refer to Trump’s comment that he could murder somebody in front of everybody and his supporters would still support him.
Trump was saying that his supporters don’t give up on him, not that he felt empowered to shoot somebody in front of everybody.
A man who is that confident in his supporters doesn’t like the idea of paying hush money about a supposed marital infidelity, when everybody already knows he’s been a playboy. People don’t support him because he’s such a paragon of moral virtue; they support him because he fights for us. And neither the Access Hollywood tape nor the bimbo claims has changed that. The people who would reject him for those reasons were already rejecting him for mean tweets. And so it makes perfect sense that Trump did NOT want to pay off Stormy Daniels.
What Steinglass doesn’t get is that Trump’s supporters support him because he is NOT a Mr. Steinglass. He has been the most investigated and targeted of anybody in modern history and plays straight. Even more than that, he supports our Constitution and real justice - not this turd world junk. People got so mad at him for his “third-world hellhole” comment - except those who live in third-world hellholes and agreed completely with what he said. He has always sought to protect our country from becoming that. And that is precisely why the “Mr Steinglasses” of the world persecute him.
He was saying that the advantage goes to the prosecutor since they have the last word and can go on and on for hours and hours and hours to convince the jury pool while Trump team only had an hour + or so in their closing arguments! Turley was making the comparison between the advantage and disadvantage in being last to score points against your opponent. So I took it as if there is one jury member who is sitting on the fence the prosecutor being last has the advantage to persuade him/her.
Overall, your post was a lot more negative about Trump’s chances than Turley’s, but having the last word does work to a certain extent for Bragg. It’s possible for Bragg to get a conviction. Nobody knows exactly what will happen.

Well, you need to listen to Truley on Fox right now talking about the closing arguments. This bastard corrupt judge just let them go on and on lying to the jury! You need to listen really.

Even Truley is saying acquittal is diminishing more and more but that perhaps one or two jury members might make the difference. This is really upsetting ! My goodness… infuriating!
I don’t think acquittal is likely (in merchan’s kangaroo court anyway) but a hung jury is possible. What fox show was Turley on today?

Brace for guilty and pray that Trump finds favor with God. If Trump is acquitted the Rats are done for so that’s not going to happen. They are already freaking out about the Polls. They’re not going to let “Hitler” get positive publicity from an acquittal. Do you actually see a scenario in which that happens? I’d be shocked. As ready as I am for a guilty verdict I’m still very upset and saddened for the crap Trump has had to endure.

This guy is living in La La land. The Supreme Court isn’t going to do anything about this. The fact that people are still going into work is quite frankly sickening enough. Why is anyone planning on working on an oil rig with the former President of the United States rotting away in prison? The guy has put everything on the line for everyone and no one is willing to lift a finger to support him. People are willing to go to his rallies but if it messes, evem a little, with their comfy lives it ain’t happening. Anyone who sits idly by while this happens has lost their right to complain aboutbthe criminal organization who has clearly seized the Federal Government.
