On Tuesday, a United States Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that a West Virginia law that bars biological boys from competing on girls' sports teams cannot be enforced with regard to a 13-year-old who competes on the girls' track and field team at the athlete's middle school.
"The defendants cannot expect that [this athlete] will countermand her social transition, her medical treatment, and all the work she has done with her schools, teachers, and coaches for nearly half her life by introducing herself to teammates, coaches, and even opponents as a boy," Judge Toby Heytens wrote in his decision, according to the Associated Press.
It's important to note that this ruling does not impact the West Virginia law – it only applies to the individual in this particular case, since the individual began transitioning in third grade, prior to hitting puberty. However, the ruling does potentially pave the way for other, similar cases.
On Thursday, several girls "stepped out" during a meet to protest the inclusion of the transgender girl at the center of this case.
The athlete in the case competes for the Bridgeport Middle School girls' track & field team in Bridgeport, Virginia.
Bridgeport participated in the 2024 Harrison County Middle School Championships on Thursday afternoon at Liberty High School in Clarksburg, West Virginia.

Several members of one of the girls' shot put teams "stepped in" then "stepped out" to protest the inclusion of a transgender athlete in the meet. The transgender athlete competes in both shot put and discus throwing.
When each of the Lincoln girls had her name called to compete, she stepped into the ring but instead of throwing the shot, she stepped down and refused to participate. They did the same for the discus event.

What you need is a one-year ‘we-don’t-participate’ situation where if you have a transgirl show up....no girl participates or they just sit. Eventually, everyone will wise up and realize that this is destroying female sports.

Unless this individual is a true transsexual (i.e., born with, say, XXY, and ambiguous sexual organs) and thus belongs to the actual 0.017% of the population truly suffering from such a disorder - and I highly doubt it! - then it is indeed criminal!

I agree, I threw the discus and held my high school record for a time. I would not have entered or competed in the girls event. A matter of principle, I was born a male.
I also coached boys soccer and several girls trained and played on this squad — there was no corresponding girls team at that time. I did not forbid these girls from playing, but there was some discenssion from the other schools who felt that their players might have to hold back to avoid injuring these players. I can understand this as well. Fortunately today we have girls teams and boys teams, but they should stay separate.
Or, in their attempt to devalue women, will make the argument that there is no longer any need for female sports because they won’t participate.
Just refuse to play along with it.
If said evil persists well, there are other ways of dealing with it (but all in due time).

The girls want to compete. They trained too. They want to win all city and all state and nationals. They want scholarships. They want to go to the Olympics. They want endorsements.
When is this madness going to stop?!!!!!
It is not going to stop until it is stopped. They are not going to stop out of the goodness of their hearts. To stop it, the Educational system, as it now stands, will have to be dismantled and the Educational System will have get back to the 3 Rs. Reading, riteing, and rithimitic. And that is not going to happen. AS a result the people will just get more stupid and degenerate until the whole shooting match crashes in flames.
