BREAKING: Speaker Mike Johnson just inexcusably voted against the American people and his voters by casting the tie-breaking vote 212-212 to defeat a FISA 702 amendment requiring a warrant to spy on Americans.

This is how the Constitution dies.

Brought to you by the House GOP.

Uh, that’s what it has always been. We wanted a warrant if an American citizen was involved. Why is that too much to ask?

Don’t pretend like they don’t have other tools. Regardless, they have consistently violated even that.

Geez, even Jerry Nadler was arguing that.

And FISA hadn’t even been around that long. And the FBI abused it against Trump.

The corrupt don’t care about the language or the law.

But go ahead and throw your Constitutional rights away. Not me.

“No US citizen gets surveilled”

Want to buy a bridge?

“strategically provide just enough votes so that Johnson “had to” vote against it?”

That is exactly what happened. The rats wanted to show just how much control they have. Johnson is a rat tool now and they wanted to show it in a public display.

Regarding George Santos...

“At the time of that Santos debacle, I thought, this guy is on our team. We don’t need choirboys, me need someone who can come in off the bench and kick the extra point.”

Good analogy.

The FR Republican Party bootlickers will be all over you for that statement, you don’t diss their little private club like that! You will respect and vote for every one of these saintly Republicans in November or be known as a Democrat according to FR GOP commissars.

At this point I will vote for Trump but the Republican party is utterly useless. They hate their voters, the Constitution and the country. They are Democrat Lite.

If Trump wins he will face just as much opposition from the Republicans as he does from the Democrats. I hate to see this but the Bill of Rights will be removed by executive order in my lifetime by a Democrat or Republican president. The beuacracy hates the people, due process and freedom. I foresee now way out of the ugly that is coming to this country. The winds of war are blowing and it is an awful thing that is forced upon us by our own leaders. They hate us.

It is time to replace all those bastards! Those pieces of shit do not deserve to be reelected. Isn’t there any people here in free Republic that can replace those bastards? We need to start uniting and fighting against them because not only are we fighting against the evil effing rats we’re fighting our own party EFFIN POS leaders as well. I am so angry. I’m ready to explode …angry as hell! Because you and I know what their intentions are with the FISA they just got granted power by freaking party. Oh, and another observation. have you noticed that every time the Republicans are ready to vote down any funds for those evil SOB’s they always have a meeting and they immediately fold like cheap cards. If you haven’t noticed then you’re blind as a bat because that is a sign that our corrupt party in the DC swamp is so, incredibly compromised and they’ve got stuff on them to blow them out of the water and blackmail them from here to kingdom come. Does diddy and Epstein ring bell?

That’s not how I understand it works. If a U.S. citizen shows up as in any way associated with the foreign national under surveillance, their information gets sucked-up too.

No, dammit, it means they would have to get a damn warrant to surveille a US citizen! Damn strange we were never overrun with terrorists before the FISA came into law. The gubment doesn’t care about foreign terrorist, unless they think they can get them legal status to vote for democrats. Johnson is a two faced little bastard. No wonder he got into the chair so slick, huh?

The thing about Santos is......he has nothing to hide. He would have been better than Johnson as far as standing against the intel deep state.

And it seems its okay to make up a foreign surveillance target to suck in the domestic target you are trying to surveille without a warrant, you know, like they did to Trump.

This shouldn't be news to anyone here on FR.

Some of us still remember that dope Devin Nunes during the first couple of years of the Trump administration. He'd run around all over Fox News and the Sunday morning talk shows making a big show about FISA surveillance abuses ... then go to Congress on Monday morning and press his Republican colleagues to re-authorize the FISA surveillance program.

The best thing anyone can do is assume they are under constant electronic surveillance. Have fun with it in creative ways. Nothing more needs to be said.

According to Johnson somethings he learned in the “Skiff” caused him to change his mind.

Dead girl or live boy?

“No US citizen gets surveilled.

You read wrong. There have been hundreds of thousands of Americans surveilled in the past, authorized by this bill, without warrants. This bill merely continues the status quo. The controversy has not been on this thread, it is the furious anger of most Republicans in the House.

No warrant is ever needed for overseas nationals.

You need to reread what you thought you read.

Serious question, where do Democrats and Republicans actually disagree? The rhetoric is one thing but as it relates to governing it doesn’t really seem to matter who is in power. The only actual benefit (and that is just for now) that exists is that the House is currently not doing endless investigations on Trump. Aside from that, I can’t think of an actual difference.

Any time you see a vote that close, you can be sure a more elaborate deception than usual is occurring.

The government hates us, and wants the vast majority of us dead.

First order of business next session? Find a new House GOP leader. I’m afraid attempts to remove him before then would backfire.
