It's because they are all cousins, Ukrainian and Russian, so sympathies can turn on a dime depending which one smiles or frowns each day or has food and lucre to part with.
Their problems are not our problems and if American people have relatives in the cesspool, they need to reflect on why they are not still there or need to go back their and solve their own issues. We owe Ukraine nothing and in fact if we don't take a united stand against them they will be our destruction.
