Well NHS care sucks for regular commoners there and it is well-delayed too, but the Royals are well taken care of quickly by the best doctors and equipment, so she will not have those problems.

Preventive chemo means it was caught in the early stages (I or II ). The tumor was removed and just to be safe, in case any cell from the tumor broke loose and made its way elsewhere (less likely in early stages), the patient is given a course of chemo.

I doubt its pancreatic cancer, my cousins ex wife’s mother had it, they opened her up, said nothing they can do, closed her up and she died 3 months later. My guess is either colon/stomach cancer or some kind of gynecological cancer like ovarian or uterine cancer, that is why her surgery was major, to do a complete hysterectomy

The Royals can afford high quality wigs.

She won’t have the stamina for public appearances for a while.

"So she’ll lose her hair and request not to be seen?"

Not all chemo meds make you lose your hair. My youngest son, age 48 at the time was on two different kinds of chemo for 6 months after having two bi-sections of his colon to remove cancerous polyps, and he didn't lose his hair. They also took out about 70 of the surrounding lymph nodes during the surgery. He did unfortunately end up with a blood clot in his lung and had to give himself shots of Heparin through the remainder of his treatments. He also ended up with bad neuropathy in his hands and feed from the chemo. The neuropathy in his hands went away about two years later, but he still has bad neuropathy in his feet. The good news is that he just got his five-year clearance, and is now considered a cancer survivor.

Chris Everett with stage 1 had 6 rounds of chemotherapy

https://my.clevelandclinic.org/patient-stories/672-tennis-champion-chris-evert-overcomes-ovarian-cancer

But Ovarian is like Breast cancer. It can come raging back. Sometimes peritoneal cancer finds you later.

Chris’s story is an important one for all genetic predispositions. You can have one that is uncertain significance that later gets recategorized. Doctors will often discount genetics of uncertain significance and say you don’t have anything to worry about. I say if you have one keep an eye on yourself.

Everyone I know who lost their hair during chemo grew it back as good as ever later.

Doctors told my sister she had breast cancer after a mammogram. She had a double mastectomy per their recommendation. Test results came back negative for cancer after the surgery. If any doctor tells me I have cancer, a second or third opinion will be had.

They make mistakes, costly ones. I’m not sure how this happened. Don’t they do further testing before surgery? No “Oops, my bad” for me.

I am surprised more of them have not had cancer. Or maybe they just didn’t tell us.

They live in old buildings that have to have had issues such as mold and asbestos etc.

Prince Andrews place needs major redo and does have mold but he is clinging onto the house that is too big for him.

No I’m just noticing that some people close to me have died suddenly from turbo cancer and pulmonary embolisms 6 months after getting vaxxed. All were healthy with no health issues prior to the vaxx. Whether Kate’s cancer is due to that remains to be seen, but it’s a valid speculation to consider it.

I STRONGLY recommend multiple consultations. I went to several oncologists.

I also STRONGLY recommend second or third opinions on the pathology report. I can’t remember which celebrity had cancer but the first report missed it. I think it might have been Tom Hanks wife.

I'm sorry to hear that Sacajaweau. My youngest son went through that for cancerous polyps. Thankfully he didn't need a colostomy, but did go through 6 months of two different chemo meds. He just got his 5 year check-up, and told he is cancer-free. I will keep your son in my prayers.

Back in 2010, I suffered a perforated bowel from diverticulitis, and underwent emergency surgery. I had a temporary colostomy for three months until they reversed it. I'm so glad my son didn't have to go through that. He was very fortunate that they were able to do his two bi-sections laparoscopically. I feel very fortunate that he and I had great surgeons when the need arose.

"abdominal could mean colon cancer, which is unfortunately common in younger people these days..its no longer the above 50 disease to watch out for"

My youngest son was diagnosed with cancerous polyps at 48. The doctor/surgeon told him the polyps were so big, he wished he'd come to see him 10 years earlier, but he had no symptoms at that time, and nobody screened 38 year olds for it back then.

“Turbo cancer from the vaxx.”

My thought (and that of many others) as well.

She didn’t do all of that. She trusted the doctors and the science. Me, not so much.

"Everyone I know who lost their hair during chemo grew it back as good as ever later."

I've heard that is true. I have a cousin by marriage who had breast cancer, and went through chemo, lost her hair, and it grew back even thicker than it was before. She's a cancer survivor as her surgery and treatment was more than 15 years ago. My poor sister had chemo and radiation for lung cancer back in 2010. She had her hair all shaved off before she started the treatments. When her hair finally started growing back in, they sent her for 10 radiation treatments on her brain to prevent the cancer from going there, and she lost it all again. Of course she didn't make it, went to hospice care, and passed away on her birthday in September 2011.
