Setting a bond that the defendant cannot afford is of course antithetical to judicial philosophy in New York, as murderers and other violent criminals are set free every day with no or low bond.

Trump’s attorney needs to appeal this immediately in Federal Court on 8th Amendment grounds. This is CLEARLY an excessive fine, which is prohibited under the 8th. Time to take it away from the corrupt and partisan scumbags masquerading as judges in NY.
