Nice that you’re getting some cool weather and some drizzle to go with it. I wish it was heavier rain but any moisture is welcome.
It was a little cooler here but still comfortable at 67 this afternoon. We might get a little shower or two overnight.
Yes, it was a couple of nights ago. :-) Much quieter now.
Yeah, I’d love more rain for sure, but with it being this cold and dampish, what we got has a chance to soak in. I don’t think we have gotten an inch yet for the year. Hubby says at the house we’ve gotten .93”. The official at the airport is 1.03”. Sigh
I’ll bet you really enjoyed that 67 degrees today. Hope you got to have the windows open....and maybe even got to sit outside for a bit.
Good evening, lightman, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
And a blessed Fifth Sunday in Lent (Western)/Sunday of Forgiveness† (Orthodox) to all!
†Orthodox Lent will begin on Monday.
Thanks, lightman, for keeping us up-to-date.

Good evening, luvie, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Thank you for the hymns.
The five week difference in Easter/Pascha this year gets really weird.
Orthodox Christians have been feasting (sort of) while Western Christians have been fasting; then we all fast together for less than a fortnight.
And come March 31 Orthodox Christians will be fasting while Western Christians will be feasting and that continues until May 5!
But next year “we’re all in this together”.
The plants there are sucking up every bit of moisture they can while they have the chance. At least they’ve gotten the chance. It’ll be nice if it stays cloudy a little while longer to give them more time.
No windows open any more. At least for a while anyway. The pollen is way too bad and I don’t want it in the house. I only went out once this afternoon and that was to go to the well house to change the water filter. That was more than enough.
Hope you got lots of drizzlies?
LOL! Hi, Kathy. No, not a lot of drizzles, but they were nice and around here every drop counts.
I totally keep forgetting just how MUCH pollen you guys get. We’re getting it from the mulberry trees, but it doesn’t coat the cars or anything. Those fuzzy things are just all over the place. Making a mess since they’ve gotten wet.
The ground was quite wet when I went walking around the yard this morning to see what the garden was doing. We had a few narcissus blooms. So sweet. But right now, those and the apple blossoms are all. We’ll have lilies and yellow columbine before too long. The tulips had lots of healthy leaves, but no blooms.
I’m sure your flowers are going nuts with all the rain you’ve gotten. Have your irises started blooming? Mine haven’t. Not sure if they will.
EVERYTHING outside is coated right now. And we haven’t gotten to the pine pollen yet. Then the oak and pecan. We’re just getting started.
My Bradford pear tree is pretty much through now but the fruit-bearing pear trees are still blooming. The weeping cherry and the dogwoods are starting to bud now. The daffodils are still blooming but the irises won’t bloom until next month into May.
I do envy you all the lovely trees and flowers that can grow there but not here. It was the main thing I missed when we moved from Georgia. Of course we moved to Germany, but even they didn’t have all the wild flowers that the south has.
You’d better be stocking up on Kleenex. You’re gonna need it. A BUNCH of it! LOL!
It rained yesterday while we were out at the lake but I did get some pics.
We also had ribs for supper:
How's everyone doing this morning?
It IS very pretty here but the beauty comes with a price - - the cost of all those Kleenex. LOL I’m well-stocked.
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Sorry to hear rain put a damper on your outing but Gizmo didn’t seem to mind too much. Ribs for supper made up for it though. :-)
Yep, he enjoyed himself out there yesterday.
He always seems to, especially when he finds a smelly spot to roll in. LOL
Welcome Troops, Veterans, Families, and Allies!
God Bless You and Keep You Safe.
