Greetings to all at the Canteen!
To all our military men and women, past and present,
THANK YOU
for your service!
Hi everybody!
(((HUGS)))
Bible in a Year :
I wish that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put his Spirit on them!
When I joined a group of Christian children’s book authors who prayed for one another and helped spread the word about each other’s books, some people said we were “foolish for working with competitors.” But our group was committed to kingdom-minded leadership and promoting community, not competition. We shared the same goal—spreading the gospel. We served the same King—Jesus. Together, we’re reaching more people with our witness for Christ.
When God asked Moses to choose seventy elders with leadership experience, He said, “I will take some of the power of the Spirit that is on you and put it on them. They will share the burden of the people with you so that you will not have to carry it alone” (Numbers 11:16–17). Later, Joshua saw two of the elders prophesying and told Moses to stop them. Moses said, “Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put his Spirit on them!” (v. 29).
Any time we focus on competition or comparisons that hinder us from working with others, the Holy Spirit can empower us to shrug off that temptation. When we ask God to nurture kingdom-minded leadership in us, He spreads the gospel around the world and can even lighten our loads as we serve Him together. .
Reflect & Pray
How have you teamed up with others to serve God? Who can you support as they serve Him with their unique gifts?
Holy Spirit, please make me a kingdom-minded leader committed to working together to reach more people with the life-saving message of the gospel.
Good evening, radu, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Did you have a windows open day?
If was snowing so gently that you could almost count the snowflakes all the way to work. Then a little heavier while I was there.
It’s supposed to start again in a couple hours, but we might be above freezing by then. My deck is already dry.
Howdy, Kathy.
No windows open today though it was warm enough to crack them a bit. Too much pollen now and they’re closed for the duration. I went out to the well house this afternoon to change the water filter and that’s all the pollen I cared to deal with today. LOL
I saw the snow up there this afternoon when I checked the cam. It was heavy enough at one point that the mountains were obscured for a while.
There’s a large batch coming up from the Gulf of Alaska now so enjoy your dry deck while you can!
Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...and a Blessed Lord’s Day and Shavua Tov to you and yours.
You and Tippy survive the rain? Able to get out and hike yet?
Oh yes. Today was gorgeous. It feels like Spring already.
I just hope we don’t get slammed with an April Blizzard.
It HAS happened.
Good evening, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.
And a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Keep the Lord’s Day in the Lord’s way.
A blessed Fifth Sunday in Lent (Western)/Sunday of Forgiveness† (Orthodox) to all!
†Orthodox Lent will begin on Monday.

Shavua Tov.
Wishing all our Jewish troops, veterans, families, allies, friends, and Canteeners
a peaceful and prosperous week.
Prayers for our troops, veterans, families, allies, friends, and Canteeners
for a safe and peaceful week ahead.
He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.
God Bless our military men and women who have given their all.
Thanks, unique.
Howdy, luvie.
Any warmer down there today or is it still nippy?
Not too bad here today.
Hey there, radu!
It was a bit warmer today. 51 instead of 47, but still cool, cloudy and drizzly for part of the day. It felt good!
Glad it was nice there, especially after the fun and games you had a couple of nights ago....or was it last night. I’ve slept since then. LOL!
