One of the Caribbean prison escapees accused of hijacking a retired American couple's yacht was shot during his arrest on the island of St. Vincent, and the other two hid in bushes, according to local reports.
Details were revealed during Monday's court appearance, when the judge ordered the three suspects – Ron Mitchell, 30, Trevon Robertson, 19, and Abita Stanislaus, 25 – to be sent back to Grenada "as soon as practicable."
Robertson was shot by police after he allegedly tried to grab an officer's gun, according to Searchlight and other local outlets.
He denied those accusations, reportedly telling the judge, "I never wrestle with no officer. The officer throw me on the ground and just shoot me on me foot, you understand? I never wrestle with no police, you understand?"

Yep, the usual suspects.
“The officer throw me on the ground and just shoot me on me foot”
Sounds like the officer needs more range time.
All kidding aside, I suspect it went down just as the police say, and dude is lucky the only thing shot was his foot.
🎼Daylight come an’ me wan’ go home....
“If I had a son who looked like Trevon”
“Abita Stanislaus, 25”

Sheesh... look like the same crowd of Somali pirates that hijacked the Maersk Alabama back in 2009.
I’ve sailed more than most around the British Virgin Islands. St. Croix, St. Martin and St. Thomas. There’s nothing in this life that I enjoy more than sailing in the Caribbean.
In 2012-2013, I moved to the islands so I could sail every day. I finally gave up though as murder after murder took place and nothing, effectively, was “officially” done about it. Two black males, security guards for an American couple, hacked them to death with machetes less than a half mile from me. An artist was hacked to death in his home. A 12 year old son of a friend of mine had his cell phone stolen at knife point. “Officially” you can own a gun but the police “sell” your home address and gun info to the local gangs who come visit you in the middle of the night.
I finally gave up on “the Caribbean” and moved back to Texas. The Caribbean is just too dangerous to go off sailing by yourself. There’s no way to protect yourself as this couple found out.
A universal response by black perpetrators, it is a genetic thing you know? Mon?
didn’t they murder the couple? sheesh
Very unfortunate for a part of the world that has given folks a great lifestyle for many years. But crime follows wherever the money goes, and unstable governments in the islands appears unable to deal with it.
Abita Stanislaus, 25”Very perceptive, Bonemaker. Yes, he is from the Deep South of Poland. Very deep.

… crime follows wherever the dindu goes.
Fixed that for ya! Hope that helps!
Within the next 6 months, they will be crossing the U.S. southern border...
Here in time to vote in the 2024 swindle with a $5000 debit card in their hands and free plane ticket to the destination of their choice...
I’m inclined to entirely believe the arresting police officers in this incident.

Unfortunately Submarines don't have Yardarms.
.........keel hauling is probably tougher than hanging. Particularly in the 1700’s. Imagine all those barnacles cutting you and running out of breath. Very few survived I think.
