I know what shingles looks like and if you catch it the first day or two, you can get anti-virals that will take care of it. The point is, when you think you have it, you can’t wait on the diagnosis. If you don’t get it within the first couple days, the you’re screwed.

indeed he did ... AND he developed severe side-effects from the vax, and never took another one, AND began is crusade AGAINST covid vaxes because of his personal experience!
Seems to me that mRNA vaccine should be called the “Euthanasia Drug” for old people.
the first one almost killed me, therefore i obviously bailed on the 2nd ...
this was before i had intensely studied infection and vaccination due everyone in authority lying through their teeth about the experimental gene therapy covid-19 vax, as well had almost forgotten high school biology regarding NATURAL IMMUNITY...
even though i had recently developed and recovered from a relatively mild shingles infection, multiple doctors whom i trusted (at the time, but no longer) SWORE it was vital to get vaxxed for shingles even if one already had had an infection!
I won’t even give my goats vaccines anymore. I keep antitoxin on hand instead.
I asked the vet whether my dog’s shots were traditional and he confirmed they were. When I mentioned the mRNA making it to animal vaccines, he was dumbfounded. He took the shot himself (he is a polio survivor so he was sold on it at first) but he has really gone a different direction now.
Taking the first Shingles Vax and not getting the second INCREASES your odds of getting shingles. If you got one, get the second if it’s within 6 months.
I got a flu shot the first year they came out, back in the ‘60s or ‘70s. Then I got the flu—the only year I got the flu. Lesson learned, no more shots for me and my smart MD didn’t think I needed a covid shot either.
I’ve lived her 15 years. Had a cold once that lasted 5 days, handled it with Chlor-Trimeton and Mucinex I got at the drugstore.

Didn’t know about animal vaccines, thanks. Daisy cat is due for her vax in September, and I’ll tell her vet about this and won’t let her give my dear kitty a shot.

correct ... this happened to myself and later my wife: we both instantly recognized shingles and quickly obtained prescriptions for Valtrex as well as a high-percentage prescription corticosteroid cream ...
I would just ask what kind of shot. I feel the traditional dog and cat shots are still ok. I just worry about them trying to get the mRNA into the food supply in livestock vaccines especially.

well, THAT ship has sailed LONG ago, and no more shingles since anyway ...
besides, if something nearly kills you the first time, it’s insane to do it again, particularly to simply POTENTIALLY reduce the probability of an illness that is both treatable and usually no more than annoying ....
How do you know if it worked? I’ve never had a flu shot. I’ve had a flu in 40 years.
To my knowledge, I have never had a flu shot (they started before I was born). Flu and Covid shots are gimmicks used by the pharmaceutical companies.
They pushed the shingles vax on me after a very mild case of shingles years ago. I took elderberry and it cleared up quickly. I know shingles can be miserable but at this point, I simply do not trust the medical establishment.
I had to get a tetanus shot last year. I asked and was told it had a mfg date of 2015. Hopefully they were telling me the truth. In hindsight I would have asked to see the vial itself.
Me neither… The only vaccines I’ve ever had were when I was a child and knew nothing. That will continue
