I know what shingles looks like and if you catch it the first day or two, you can get anti-virals that will take care of it. The point is, when you think you have it, you can’t wait on the diagnosis. If you don’t get it within the first couple days, the you’re screwed.

correct ... this happened to myself and later my wife: we both instantly recognized shingles and quickly obtained prescriptions for Valtrex as well as a high-percentage prescription corticosteroid cream ...
I would have to read what it looks like. I don’t even know for sure if I could get the medication within two days if I have to wait for the diagnosis to get the prescription. Are there non-prescription anti-virals? Like Elderberry, for example?
