Stacey Zolt Hara was in her office in downtown San Francisco when a text from her 16-year-old daughter arrived: “I’m scared,” she wrote. Her classmates at Berkeley High School were preparing to leave their desks and file into the halls, part of a planned “walkout” to protest Israel. Like many Jewish students, she didn’t want to participate. It was October 18, 11 days after the Hamas invasion of southern Israel.
Zolt Hara told her daughter to wait in her classroom. She was trying to project calm. A public-relations executive, Zolt Hara had moved her family from Chicago to Berkeley six years earlier, hoping to find a community that shared her progressive values. Her family had developed a deep sense of belonging there.
But a moral fervor was sweeping over Berkeley High that morning. Around 10:30, the walkout began. Jewish parents traded panicked reports from their children. Zolt Hara heard that kids were chanting, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” a slogan that suggests the elimination of Israel. Rumors spread about other, less coy phrases shouted in the hallways, carrying intimations of violence. Jewish students were said to be in tears. Parents were texting one another ideas about where in the school their children could hide. Zolt Hara placed a call to the dean of students. By her own admission, she was hysterical. She says the dean hung up on her.

The American Jew, by helping Democrat obtain and maintain power, brought this ending upon themselves. If they had supported the Republican foundation of America, what they are going through now might not have happened.

Liberal Jews bought into the Charlottesville lies and ignored the Abraham Accords facts that were right in front of their eyes. They are being red-pilled at light speed, but it is far too late. Orthodox (religious) Jews never moved to stupid places like Berkeley and gave up their religion, so they aren’t having these issues. Most of them own guns and voted for Trump.
That’s basically what Elon Musk said and he was pilloried for it, people said he was antisemitic.
But by and large American Jews brought this upon themselves.
“Progressive” Jews are finding out what “progress” really looks like...just as Orwell’s “1984” predicted.

When I was in high school, I found a book about Israel that had been put on the library shelf. It didn’t have a library card; I think someone had put it there without the knowledge of the library staff.
It was about kibbutz life, and the history of Israel. It was presented in very glowing, romantic terms. Due to other factors going on at the time, I was much taken by the story it presented.
I’m quite sure I put it back on the same shelf when I was finished reading it.
In the years after, I many times thought of that book, and how that time - around the 1973 war - was kind of “Peak Israel.” The Munich Olympics massacre of the Israeli athletes had happened not long before.

It’s only anti-semetic to the reactionary non-thinkers. If you can understand that there are different branches of Judaism and Jews that care about worldly power and wealth and not their faith, then you can understand that some criticisms of Jews using their religion as cover for devious things is actually correct, if the criticism being made is correct.

The article has this throwback photo from more than 3 decades ago. One thing that sticks out is the airline luggage that Seinfeld and George are carrying. Along with everything else about this era, the clothes, etc. the luggage style is also obsolete. No one carries luggage looking like that any more, perhaps a gym bag that George has, but with no other pattern.
I do not believe so. The best days are still ahead.
