We're sending in F-16 DCA (conventional/nuclear dual capable) aircraft. They can't take off from Ukraine's crappy runways. They will be taking off from NATO member countries with clean, FOD free runways. There is at least one fitted with a training nuclear gravity bomb. From the Russian perspective, the F16s are NATO, nuclear armed aircraft that are intended for strikes on Russian territory. By that same logic, any NATO country is "fair game" including CONUS. At a minimum, the Russians would be justified in cratering runways at any NATO base hosting the F16s.

I've seen pics of a damaged/disabled Uke M1A1, and in this war disabled tanks become destroyed tanks pretty quickly. Some people have tried to build the M1A1 into some indestructible super tank to make a loss seem like a big deal. We lost better armored M1A1 tanks in Iraq. A couple even attributed to "lucky" RPG-7 shots. No tank is invincible, but the M1A1, even in this outdated, down-armored form, is a tough tank.
