I think another of the major flaws in their plans is they assume when at SHTF situation happens, will they be able to get to their Armageddon bunker.
Zuckerberg’s Bunker is in Hawaii, it might be impossible to get there in a real SHTF situation.
Having a bunker, bug out location, or some other place to get to in an emergency is a good idea but the location needs to be a reasonable distance that you could get to in a number of ways even if you have walk there.

I think it’s good that these rich people are building dooms day shelters for the people they think will be protecting them.

Cause they can. Really when you have billions of dollars dropping 100 million on something you’ll probably never use but might is nothing. If you could spend $1 to have a place to go if things went very sideways would you? Equivalently that’s what they’re doing. These guys throw 10, 50, 100 million dollars into all kinds of little side things that might do nothing, or might not. It’s all just quarters in the wishing well for them.

Some probably haven’t thought that far ahead, but some have and are probably considering AI to do their security work. We saw how that turned out in the Battlestar Galactica series why wouldn’t it do the same in real life.

It won’t be the bigger badder elite they really have to worry about, people are essentially the same no matter skin color, religion, nationality, etc.

OTOH, it’ll take a crew of hi and low tech workers to maintain said AI security systems ... there’s the hi tech itself, and there’s also the mechanical systems, sensors, actuators, and presumably automatic weapons, which also need a specialist to maintain ... so, maybe fewer security guards, but more stationary engineer types ... and also, keep in mind that most of the tech and maintenance folks have families, so said billionaire compound could start to resemble a feudal village ...
singular survival on a desert island type of situation IS possible, but standard of living will be reduced to caves, firewood and spear-fishing ...
