Donald Trump could receive a major boost to his political authority if he's selected as the Republican presidential candidate and wins the popular vote in November, according to a prominent political scientist.
Professor James Vike, an expert in United States politics who teaches at Widener University, told Newsweek such a victory would enable Trump to "wield the popular mandate card in hopes of convincing legislators and rivals to consent to presidential wishes."

Yeah, it’s a meaningless media creation, some media person made up the name. It obviously doesn’t exist in US presidential elections. The reason liberals want to make it exist is the same reason they talk about “our democracy”. They want to dismantle our Constitutional Republic. They want presidential elections to be decided by a national popular vote. They don’t want states to exist at all except in name only. They want centralized govt, not representative govt. Democracy is their stalking horse.
He won the popular vote in 2020, and the electoral votes that went with it.
