Furthermone, the Democrats NEVER questioned Bill Clinton's ability to "wield the popular mandate" when he won only 43% of the popular vote.
But I'm looking forward to the retirement of this tired talking point.
Remember that? Clinton insisted he had a mandate with only 43% of the vote.
Elections are corrupt and Republicans are cowards.
There will be no Republican president.
Clickbait headline. No chance Trump wins the popular vote.
I suggest that Trump has already won the popular vote twice
preference cascade (plural preference cascades)
Yeah, it’s a meaningless media creation, some media person made up the name. It obviously doesn’t exist in US presidential elections. The reason liberals want to make it exist is the same reason they talk about “our democracy”. They want to dismantle our Constitutional Republic. They want presidential elections to be decided by a national popular vote. They don’t want states to exist at all except in name only. They want centralized govt, not representative govt. Democracy is their stalking horse.
He won the popular vote in 2020, and the electoral votes that went with it.
There is NO POPULAR VOTE.
It’s a joke to think there is. Some states the GOP has no chance so they don’t even vote. And same with democrats.
What does one call winning the popular vote like Reagan did? I assume Trump will win 2024 like that, especially with dementia Joe melting down so publicly.
He won popular vote by 8 million in 2020.
...... And still lose the election!! ..... They forgot that part ..... Just Sayin' .....
.
Leave it up to the lame stream media to keep harping on the popular vote garbage.
The Electoral College model is the right way to, timely, confirm government for this Constitutional Republic.
Anything less, lessens the value of millions of voters outside the primary population centers.
He won the popular vote in 2020 and look what happened. If the 2024 election is allowed to go forward look for a rinse and repeat.
Should Trump win the popular vote, the tables would INSTANTLY change, and the MSM would be all talking about how the electoral college is a BRILLIANT idea.
At one level, the issue is winning the Electoral College. The Donald did that in 2016 even though losing the popular vote by 2.1 points.
The polls are now pointing to the Donald winning the popular vote (but possibly with less than 50 percent because of third party and independent candidates). Should he win the popular vote, he will certainly win the Electoral College. Probably, he’ll win all or almost all of the “battleground states,” the three crucial states of 2020 (AZ, GA and WI), and the other battleground states he won in 2016 (MI, NC and PA) and maybe also MN and NV, which last two states eluded us in 2016 but not by much.
Why does an outright win in the popular vote and a big win in the Electoral College actually matter? These matter because of our system of checks and balances. We want to take control of the Senate and increase our majority in the House. For sure, we want to pick up Senators in AZ, MT, OH and WV. There are additional possibilities in MI, NV, PA and WI, and potential possibilities in MD and NJ. This could be a very big year for Republicans.
This is yet another of hundreds of indicators that they KNOW they can’t steal the election again, that Trump likely won the PV last time.
