Yep. I had to turn the speakers down because the wind gusts were hitting the mic. The trees out there lost most of their flocking yesterday and the rest overnight.
I’m waiting to see if the remaining snow on the roof of the Aviation Museum Restoration Hangar will slide off. LOL It’s been ever so slowly slumping all day.
Howdy, luvie.
How’s the day gone so far? I see rain on the radar but don’t know if it’s lying again.
Keep the Lord’s Day in the Lord’s way.
A blessed Last Sunday after the Epiphany aka Transfiguration Sunday aka Quinquagesima† (Western)/Thirty-Second Sunday after Pentecost (Orthodox) to all!
†Fiftieth Day before Easter
I did see that you might have gotten some rain earlier. Was it a good amount?
Guess who showed up on the front porch for a drink of water. TUX! I was shocked. I said hi to him, but I scared him off. He looked healthy, so I guess he has a family! :) Now I wish Coal would show up!
Good evening, luvie, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Thanks for the hymns.
Oooooo, 68 sounds splendid! A good day for opening windows.
We’re going to cool off a little for a day or so but overall, the temps will be decent next week. The cold front isn’t going to come this far east.
It’s been raining since before I woke up today and hasn’t stopped. Light rain most of the time with heavier showers once in a while. I haven’t checked the rain gauge yet but will dump it at midnight.
WOW!!!!! TUX???? I bet you almost fell out in shock when you saw him. LOL
Now if Coal would just show up.
Hi, Kathy! Thank you, and thanks for opening the Chapel for us. I hope you have a blessed Sunday, too! (((hugs))) .....and some real rest!
It’s fun watching that slumping and wondering how far it can go before falling. Enjoy...LOL!
He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.
Well, I did have the doors open for a while. Until naptime, actually. LOL! I’ve very jealous of your long bout of rain! :) Those clouds seem to be getting closer, Fingers crossed. Hubby said it was misting when he went out about an hour ago, but the cement patio is still dry as a bone.LOL
I was sooo surprised to see him. Truthfully, he looked so bad he last time I saw him, I just knew he had died. It was nice to see that he seemed well, too. Not sure if he’ll show up anymore, but I can quit fretting about him now. Yes, I’d love the same outcome for sweet little Coal. I do miss her sweet self!
God Bless our military men and women who have given their all.
Thanks, unique.
Welcome Troops, Veterans, Families, and Allies!
God Bless You and Keep You Safe.
It IS fun. LOL
As much snow as you get up there, I’m surprised at how little pitch the roofs have. It does allow the snow to hang on a little while but eventually, it just can’t any more.
There have been several mentions in the Lake Hood chat of roofs collapsing around the city the past couple of weeks.
To my limited knowlege I think I saw something about they are commercial buildings with FLAT roofs and certain kinds of trusses.
One would think that all flat roof buildings would be getting the snow off.
The rain down there is moving up from the SW. You might get a little bit in a while. *fingers crossed*
We won’t have ay windows-open days next week but at least it won’t be cold. The coolest high temperature in the 7-day forecast is 52 for Tuesday. The rest are upper 50s and low 60s. Nights will be cold though.
I felt bad when you said Tux had disappeared because you’d said how bad he looked. Maybe whoever is taking care of him now managed to get him to a vet. Glad to hear he’s doing so well now.
I keep hoping every night that you’ll say Coal showed up.
Hubby said it’s sprinkling for realz now. I have moved the kitties’ food under the eaves so it’ll stay dry-ish.
I keep hoping that same thing. Seeing that little gal again would make me so happy. I keep remembering the last evening I saw her, she looked back at me as she turned the corner on the front porch as if she was saying goodbye. It haunts me. I told her to stay safe...as I always did. She was so little. *sigh*
It's starting to spit snow at LH now. I can see it when the cam is aimed towards the mountains and can see the flakes when the cam pans around and passes the small red lights on the roof. Looks kinda creepy towards the mountains.
Good! Maybe it’ll do more than sprinkle before it’s over.
It’s tough when our kitties disappear. Not knowing what happened eats like a cancer. In your case, living in a subdivision, here’s the chance they were taken in by someone else and are being kept inside. In my case, when they disappeared, it was a pretty safe bet it was coyotes.
It would sure be hard to live with knowing my sweet kitties might be taken by coyotes. No wonder you are so protective of them. Don’t blame you a bit.
It’s still raining softly and the temp has dropped in the past hour from 54 to 46. I think 48 is about as good as it will get tomorrow. I’ll be dressing warm for church tomorrow morning, for sure.
Is it still raining there? Is it supposed to keep at it for more than today? Good grief! It’s 40 degrees in Anchorage! Kathy is having a HEAT wave. LOL!
I hope everyone ahs a wonderful Sunday
