AND THIS TOO SHALL PASS
An Eastern monarch once charged his wise men to invent him a sentence to be ever in view, and which would be true and appropriate in all times and in all situations. They presented him with the words: "And this, too, shall pass away." How much it expresses! How chastening in the hour of pride! How consoling in the depths of affliction! Abraham Lincoln in an address before the Wisconsin State Agricultural Society in Milwaukee - 30 September 1859

I’ve Seen God’s Faithfulness
I will praise you, Lord, among the nations; I will sing the praises of your name.
2 Samuel 22:50 Throughout her historic seventy years as Britain’s ruler, Queen Elizabeth II only endorsed one biography about her life with a personal foreword,
The Servant Queen and the King She Serves. Released in celebration of her ninetieth birthday, the book recounts how her faith guided her as she served her country. In the foreword, Queen Elizabeth expressed gratitude for everyone who’d prayed for her, and she thanked God for His steadfast love. She concluded, “I have indeed seen His faithfulness.”
Queen Elizabeth’s simple statement echoes the testimonies of men and women throughout history who’ve experienced the personal, faithful care of God in their lives. It’s this theme underlying a beautiful song King David wrote as he reflected on his life. Recorded in 2 Samuel 22, the song speaks of God’s faithfulness in protecting David, providing for him, and even rescuing him when his very life was in danger (vv. 3–4, 44). In response to his experience of God’s faithfulness, David wrote, “I will sing the praises of your name” (v. 50).
While there’s added beauty when God’s faithfulness is seen over a long lifetime, we don’t have to wait to recount His care in our lives. When we recognize that it’s not our own abilities that carry us through life but the faithful care of a loving Father, we’re moved to gratitude and praise. .
Reflect & Pray
How have you seen God’s faithfulness? How might you express your gratitude to Him?
Heavenly Father, I’m so grateful that in every season of life—sorrow or joy—I’ve seen Your faithfulness.

Dear God: I ask that no Airman, Coast Guardsman, Marine, Sailor, Soldier, Reservist, National Guardsman, or Merchant Marine feel alone or forgotten.
O Israel, hope in the Lord; For with the Lord there is loving kindness, And with Him is abundant redemption. And He will redeem Israel From all his iniquities.

Good evening, radu, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
You find the best graphics. I love the patch!
Has your rain arrived? Or is it still on the horizon?
My drive to work was hazardous. We are in the high 30s and the roads are WET. But that has brought out the crazies, cutting in and out, and speeding. No thank you. And coming home was worse. There would have been a couple accidents in front of me had there been any ice at all where some were changing lanes over and over, weaving in and out to speed ahead. IDIOTS!!!

Hey there, Kathy.
I get lucky once in a while.
Yes, the rain arrived before I woke up and hasn’t stopped. We have a few more hours of it ahead tonight. It’s been light for the most part with a heavy shower coming through occasionally. Light is good because it soaks in and that is definitely what we need.
When I woke up and pulled up the Lake Hood cam, I could tell the snow was melting on rooftops and in the parking lot around the Aviation Museum. I knew then you weren’t going to enjoy getting out today. I’m glad you were able to get out and back home without the car getting crunched. Always idiots on the streets.

Good evenng, CMS, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours. ((HUGS))
More than 10’ of snow at my house so far this winter, a week or so where it never got above zero, and now, today, it is pushing 40 degrees. Lots of melting that will turn into ice over night. And now we are having huge wind gusts.
Hope your weather is nicer.
