Possibly, but it depends on how the seizure order is worded. For instance, LEO’s often seize cars after a serious accident so re-creation experts can inspect each vehicle to determine the cause of the crash. If this is a criminal investigation and individuals are charged with a crime of using the vehicle in a criminal manner, the cars can be seized as a part of that investigation.
It’s much how they seize all firearms when there has been a shooting, even if one of the participates was acting in self-defense against home invaders.

Picture a demolition derby in stolen cars in the middle of an intersection while hundreds of onlookers whoop, holler, make chimpanzee noises, and shoot firearms into the air.
Often ends with serious injuries, cars on fire, and any bystander who tries to pass through on their way somewhere risks getting assaulted or killed.

IOW, even innocent bystanders are guilty.

A sideshow is like when a no-talent, clown haired, ill-educated lesbian person of color, hired as a "token", plays interference with a suppliant press as to try to confound and distract attention away from her corrupt, elderly, incompetent, and devastatingly forgetful boss.
Then they'll impound your car while you're at a gun show or Trump rally and you'll be outraged.

Ill add sideshows sometimes lead to shootings. Impounding these cars is a means to processes the owners. Im sure some of them have outstanding warrants, back tickets, out of date or stolen license plates, failure to appear, illegal for street use equipment. It gets these thugs off the street.

Your rights ended when you started drag racing, doing burnouts and doughnuts in front of my business, on the street or in my parking lor.
I was about the post that same thing, almost word for word.
Sideshows are common all throughout California. My solution was always if you participate in a sideshow and your car’s impounded, it stays impounded for 30 days. After the 30 days, it’s $10K to get it back.

A 13 year old Las Vegas boy was hit and killed 2 years ago when one of these side showers lost control of his car at an estimated 90 mph on a residential street.
