FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Washington D.C. – Just months after securing an $18 million judgment against Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue, news broke that Cecile Richards is suffering from terminal brain cancer.
Jesus exhorted his followers to “love our enemies” and “pray for those who persecute us.” With that sentiment, Operation Rescue is asking all followers of Jesus to pray for the healing and salvation of Planned Parenthood’s former chief executive.
When the groundbreaking Center for Medical Progress (CMP) videos hit the news in 2015, revealing Planned Parenthood’s illegal sale of baby body parts, Cecile Richards was President of Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA). With relentless hostility, she went after the courageous pro-lifers willing to unveil Planned Parenthood’s terrible secrets.
PPFA sued every member of CMP, including Operation Rescue President Troy Newman, resulting in the current $18 million dollar judgment against the defendants. Richards denied, every step of the way, that Planned Parenthood ever broke the law, and an abortion-friendly judge made certain no more CMP videos could be released.
“Despite all Richards has done to destroy human life, and to destroy the pro-life movement, her own life is still precious in the eyes of God, and His will is always that the lost might be saved,” says Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue.
“We pray the words of Ephesians chapter one for Cecile Richards – that the eyes of her heart may be enlightened, so that she will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the boundless greatness of His power toward those who believe. In short, we pray that Cecile might find salvation and healing, and we encourage all of our supporters to do the same.”
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven.” –Matthew 5:43-45
I doubt God relishes the idea of this man being deathly ill
and separated from Him.
I think this is worth praying over.
We all sin. His isn’t my choice. Mine may not be his.
In the end God will work it out to His glory.
Cecile Richards is the daughter of former Texas governor Ann Richards.
Horrible women. May Cecile soon be reunited with her mother.
Sorry, I do not believe that Jesus would want me to pray for this EVIL B!tch!
Nor do I believe she will be “saved”.
She is BEYOND prayer.
I did not know that. How bad was Ann Richards? I don’t live in Texas so I never heard of her.
In hell!
Yes Jesus would want you to pray for her. She is not beyond prayer.
I suspect you are correct though she has too much pride in what she did at Planned Parenthood to ever repent. Or her hatred from us would keep her from doing it.
All we can do is pray she repents.
Kyrie eleison x 100.
May she spend the remaining time of her life in peace and REPENTANCE!
Then you clearly do not know Jesus. Or the story of the Apostle Paul.
She brought down the house with this...
I chose not to remember the horrible job she did as governor.
Wow, did I blow it...
I doubt God relishes the idea of this WOMAN being deathly ill
and separated from Him.
I think this is worth praying over.
We all sin. Her’s isn’t my choice. Mine may not be her’s.
In the end God will work it out to His glory.
I looked at the article for a name to mention in my
comments, and I saw the name of a person this woman
won a verdict against. Sorry for the mix-up.
There is always hope for any of us. If this woman had
an about face and tried to urge women not to have
abortions after long thought, it could save some lives.
Saul was involved in Christians deaths. He became
a dedicated worker for the cause.
We never know.
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; never be conceited. Repay no one evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends upon you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God; for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” No, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals upon his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. - Romans 12:14-21
Praying.
I’m not entirely sure this is divine retribution-but if it is, it reminds us that God’s patience has limits and instant karma is possible. I would not wish brain cancer on anyone but a serial killer-my boss and best friend died from it 6 years ago, after successfully fighting it for over 4 years...
“We never know.”
So true...remember we got Norma MacCorvy aka Jane Roe to convert.
That’s true.
That’s got to stick in a lot of Leftist throats.
That was a difficult prayer.
Ann Richards was the wicked witch from hell. All the same, prayers for Cecile-we are told that not even the worst among us are beyond the comfort of God’s mercy.
Excellent points. Praying for your enemy does not mean anything for them. It benefits and blesses YOU.
I leave wrath for the LORD to exact his vengeance and repay the wicked.
