BOSTON — A major drugstore chain is shutting down another location in Boston in just a matter of days and people who live in the area are concerned that they are now living in a “pharmacy desert.”

The Walgreens at 416 Warren Street in Roxbury will shut its doors for good come Martin Luther King Jr. Day, becoming the chain’s fourth city location to close in a little over a year.

In late 2022, Walgreens suddenly shuttered locations in Mattapan, Hyde Park, and on Washington Street in Roxbury.

Some Boston City Councilors have blasted the company for closing stores in predominantly Black, Brown, and working-class communities.

Do you know if most insurers cover getting prescriptions on Amazon?

It is very depressing walking into one of these "chain" drugstores in an urban environment. Whether its a CVS, Walgreens, Rite-Aid, Duane Reade, it's all the same drab experience.

Aisles of locked-down merchandise like shampoos, toothpaste, razors, cosmetics, and even baby formula confront you. You have to ring a bell and wait for an "associate" to come by and unlock the merchandise you wish to buy. Who wants to shop this way?

“They must no know about the internet.”

That’s how they organize their criminal operations.

Anybody else see the irony? 😂

—”Democrats just can’t grasp the concept of Cause & Effect.”

There are more than a few, but they tend to be out of sight, or not on the main YouTube algorithm.

This was recommended in the comments at SECOND CITY COP.

I hesitate to recommend a video longer than a minute or two.
This one runs eight minutes if you have some time.

All of these deserts “food, pharmacy, self-help, services, etc.” are the direct result of the lawlessness they voted for in their local government. THEY are to blame. Life sucks when you vote Democrat and get it.

I’ve watched CharlieBo313 quite a bit.....what’s unbelievable is the comments from black people berating him for showing THE TRUTH. Their culture isn’t the problem....HE is. SMH

Also, footage from inside convenience stores is very telling.

Some Boston City Councilors have blasted the company for closing stores in predominantly Black, Brown, and working-class communities.

Some Boston City Councilors should be asking 'Why?'

But they already know the answer -- the store is likely losing money due to theft and area crime. [Corporations seldom close stores that are profitable.]

We lost the two nearby pharmacies here last year. We have to drive much further now to get to one. But with services like Grubhub, DoorDash, etc., we have been able to get same-day deliveries of most things. (Walgreens has same-day delivery of prescriptions now.) Of course, it costs; and I imagine some controlled drugs can’t be delivered.

Businesses don’t care what color you are. They care that your money is green. I feel sorry for the elderly & law abiding citizens paying the price for lawlessness.
