No height standards that I ever heard of....can’t fit a 5’10 ft guy in a tank....as least not very well. Former 19k/19d then 09s/35d/35e here. 5’8”. (and I was a tall tanker)
I had more in common [69-73] with my Dad’s Army of the 40’s or even my Grandfathers in WWI than I had with the Army of the 80’s and beyond. Would not recommend service to any of my family nowadays.

This is all be design. The military does not want white guys. I have had several reports of recruiters resisting enlisting white guys. They want foreigners. They process foreigners instantly while giving white guys the cold shoulder. I’ve seen foreigners leave for basic training within days while white guys never getting a callback from military recruiters. They take white guys when higher skilled position need filled and no foreigner is available.
The military has already started recruiting the illegal aliens. They want foreigners who will obey orders to attack Americans, violate the law and the constitution.

According to the Left (and a substantial number of conservatives), this should have no effect on the Army because race doesn’t real. Let’s hope we don’t have to find out if the fundamental transformation of the Army matters
As I understand it, ISIS exists because the Bush-Cheney geniuses dismantled the Iraqi army after that ill-advised...nay criminal..war. As a bonus, they destroyed the existing balance of power in the Middle East since Iraq was a bulwark against Iran. Swell.
It’s all part of the plan. Woke recruitment and retention to oblivion, ON PURPOSE, then reinstate the draft. The Globohomo/Neocon alliance doesn’t want these fruity woke freaks. They want our normal, healthy, motivated, WHITE sons and grandsons to fight in their Globohomo misadventures. A simple majority vote by this bipartisan warmongering congress brings back the draft. Then they’d have unlimited innocent young boys to bleed and die in all their wars.

Two youngest in my family eschewed military service and we were all relieved. My nephew had to change his phone number to get rid of the recruiter he spoke to.
I was in 63-84 and was blessed with serving with many WW2 veterans who wound up making a career of the military. The very finest men I have ever had the good fortune to cross paths with. Thank you Lord...forever grateful.
My Dad was Army Air Corp in WW2 — he flew a Piper Cub as a spotter pilot. He was 5’9”.

Yes, I doubt they had height requirements in 1776. I'm sure they took anyone, of any height or even age, who was reasonably healthy, brought their own musket, and knew how to shoot it.
I also doubt they had a policy on gay troops in 1776. It probably never occurred to anyone that it was an issue. I'm sure there were some gay troops, but they kept their desires hidden rather than insist the Continental Army hold Pride! marches at Valley Forge.
Soon our nuclear weapons will be our only deterrence and that will fade quickly when our enemies figure out we will never use them.
As for the whites not joining, hey US military didn’t you arbitrarily decide that your white members were all racists and a part of some vast white supremacy cult(which your own study says was bunk). You got what you wanted a military full of fairies and minorities, go fight your never ending wars with this bunch from a Star Wars bar scene. When you get your butts kicked and you will, are your going to beg the whites to return to the military to save you? Question is will they return after the hate and racism you inflicted upon them?
I have a white relative who is out in four days and he is on cloud nine not having a bullseye on his back because he was white, conservative and gasp a Christian!
Well, Ba’athists are basically Arab Muslim fascists. The defeat of Saddam’s forces and deprecation of Ba’athism in Iraq infuriated many Iraqi Sunnis. Then add to that the imposition of elections which granted (60%) majority to Shia and that was the making of ISIS.
The Iraqi Army just stopped being paid. They went home to de-Ba’athify the organization. Many were re-hired but also a great many Shia were brought into the IA and promoted to leadership positions. This further alienated Sunnis. AIQ/ISIS was mainly ex-IA. Nothing to do with “Bush-Cheney” but what happens when a religious sect and political party which ran a country for 35 years as a military dictatorship is deposed and replaced by their victims. They went nuts.
I don’t worry about Iran much. Bunch of shrinking violets and moronic fanatics. I consider them to be much less harmful than militant Sunnis.
