Okay - Now the Joint Chiefs Head Knew About Austin and Agreed to KEEP THE SECRET?!

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin is one of the most reclusive Pentagon chiefs in recent memory. That’s creating a major problem for him now.

Austin’s failure to inform his most senior advisers, congressional leaders and even President Joe Biden of his hospitalization last week due to complications from a medical procedure has erupted into a controversy that’s left senior White House and Pentagon officials infuriated and befuddled. Some Republicans quickly called for investigations or even for Austin to be disciplined or fired.

Advertisement Joint Chiefs Chair Gen. C.Q. Brown was not informed of Austin’s situation until Tuesday, the day after his hospitalization, a senior Defense Department official told POLITICO on Sunday. Even Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks, who assumed some of his duties while he was in the hospital, did not know his whereabouts until Thursday, a second senior DOD official said after CNN first reported the news.

“My sense is his desire to be private about a routine medical procedure kind of backfired when it didn’t go as planned,” said one senior U.S. official. “He’s so loyal and duty-bound. It’s all just very odd.”

I don't believe for a minute they care at all.

You're correct in that assessment. The only reason for all the INTERNAL clamor is individuals opportunities to MOVE UP in the pecking order if he's ousted!

Poor Gen. Austin. I think he was once a proud soldier. Gen, Kean spoke fondly of their time together as paratroopers at Ft. Bragg and wished him speedy recovery.

Austin always has the countenance of a very sad, troubled man. Probably profoundly depressed over the mess and his role in it. Finally needed hospitalization.

Austin’s elective surgery must have been embarrassing and that is why the coverup.

My guess is a testicle transplant or a brain transplant.

(Possibly both.)

That’s what I thought.

Let’s give Austin the benefit of the doubt. What if he was unconscious?

Well someone at “that outfit over there” as Joe puts it, should notice “hey, where’s my supervisor?”

Then send someone to his house to see if he is ok.

You occasionally hear about someone dying and folks from work calling police because the person can’t be found.

Advertisement Joint Chiefs Chair Gen. C.Q. Brown was not informed

I didn't realize that Advertisement was a branch of the DOD, but in light of their involvement in social media influencing, it makes sense.

I heard the elective surgery was a Brazilian Butt Lift. Everyone gets hospitalized after that one!

Informing a subordinate is not sufficient escalation of this turd’s responsibility to inform his superior, Biden.

Yup—changing stories are the mark of sociopaths.
