Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) is putting together legislation to require the U.S. military to adhere to state-level red and yellow flag laws for troops.
A red flag law allows family, friends, and others, to seek a court order to have guns removed from someone they view as a danger to himself or others. A yellow flag law is more narrow, allowing law enforcement to seek the court order for firearm removal.

Every red flag I have seen has been family or coworker calls cops, cops grab guns, guns gone for a year or whatever… no due process.

Family members, friends and enemies even are NOT psychiatrists and should have no influence on whether someone is a danger- in no way shape or form should family friends or ‘others’ who aren’t trained in psychiatric disorders be allowed to ‘seek a court order to have guns removed! And it’s even dubious to allow psychiatrists to seek so being that they could be influenced more by partisan beliefs and biases against about guns
I love my old state- BUT, I will never understand their predilection towards hiring her all these many years! She has been a complete stain on my beloved state! And now the state has gone left thanks to the infiltration of liberals from other states-
I hope some day they can get back to their true conservative nature!
Hello? Capitol Police? Susan Collins has shown signs of mental instability in the past and is wandering around making nonsensical statements and also claims to own a gun. Can you go over there and do a red flag check?
