Newsom Feeling the Squeeze After Data Shows California's Chickens Have Come Home to Roost

After California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom defended his leadership of the nation's most populous state to the hilt last week in a debate against Florida Republican GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis, new data projects a massive budget shortfall.

In a report published Thursday, California's nonpartisan Legislative Analyst's Office said, "Largely as a result of a severe revenue decline in 2022‑23, the state faces a serious budget deficit. Specifically, under the state’s current law and policy, we estimate the Legislature will need to solve a budget problem of $68 billion in the upcoming budget process."

Getchen Whitmer’s name has been floated as a trial balloon.

I don’t think it matters, California’s debt. The public doesn’t seem to care.

My money is on Newsom/Wookie 2024, that is if a truce can be called between Pelosi and Barkie.

Who knows what they will do with Joe, he’s not going to be the nominee.

Newsom touted surpluses, then small deficits, then bigger deficits, and now $68 billion is estimated.

As with other Dem-led cities and states, the call will come for the federal government to bail out these fiscal messes, thereby causing an even bigger mess.

This is the sunk-cost fallacy write large and in Democrat-RINO handwriting.

It is also the last gambit of every Ponzi scheme, in which "just a little more" is argued to keep the scheme from collapse. Usually as scheme operators raid the available cash for themselves.

Biden’s Fed will just print even more money and funnel it to blue states.

When he was mayor of San Francisco, wasn’t his moniker “Any Twosome Newsom”?

Hey Newsome: Here’s an idea - raise taxes again and chase more businesses out of California. After all that’s worked so well so far. /he probably will

That is not as easy as you think. The money printed is in essence borrowed money requiring interest payments. Currently the US Treasury is flirting with $1,000,000,000,000 in fiscal year payments for interest of borrowed money. Obviously Treasury does not have any surplus, so it must borrow that money to pay interest. This now in parabolic mode.

More printing causing more inflation, more inflation causing higher interest on bonds, so it is all synergistic inflating the balloon.

Declare bankruptcy. Default on everything. It's coming anyway, and Gruesome needs something bold.

Maybe an austerity president will play in 2028 versus VP Youngkin. You can actually see it : "I will renogiate all of America's debt with these special kneepads, meanwhile you all can take all the drugs you want and steal all the merchandise you can carry. Oh, and to help repay this debt, we'll have to give up a little sovereignty; for a start, these 40,000,000 migras are now US citizens."

Certainly the global elites approve.

You genuinely have to wonder if the Deep State is acquiescing to TrumpII to make this payoff in 4 years.

You will never see Moochelle on any ballot precisely because she cannot afford to be asked, even once, "Why did you marry a homosexual fantisizer? Did he cheat on you? Are those kids his? Why don't you get a divorce?"

No problem. They just got another multi-billion $ injection into their train to nowhere. The elites will pocket more of that. Newsome won’t miss a meal.

Take a look at your state’s budget.

Deep State has TX by its throat.

And the other 49 as well.

As long as states refuse to live within their means, Deep State has them right where it wants them.

Getchen Whitmer’s name has been floated as a trial balloon.

She has zero chance of winning - there's some creepy undercurrent to her personality - a girly silly VP Harris type thing... Newsom has to carry the burden of what California has become... that's not going to work unless Biden drops out very late in the process and there's not time to 'out' his failures. He should never have done the debate... 'cause he's become 'known' and his foibles and failures too.

Hillary had the problem of being 'the wife' - kind of a NEPO pick. That will hurt Michelle. She's popular as a person... even I like her. But as a leader? No way. Everyone would know it would be a third term for her husband and that's dreadful. Even as a VP that would tarnish. Reminds people of how democrats cheat are 'slick'. This isn't the election for voters to be reminded of slippery democrats, The Biden stuff will end that path for a long time.

Your post is accurate—except inflation is “easy” for .gov—at least it is a lot easier than all the other alternatives.

“This idiot came out the other day and claimed all the people in Florida are moving to Cauliphonya. I think the boy has his wires crossed.”

How can you tell when Gavin Newsom is lying? His lips are moving. He is uncanny in his ability to shamelessly make up one wildly untrue thing after another.
