Memory Eternal!!
They were married 77 years! RIP Mrs. Carter.
A life well lived. The love of her life, Jimmy, will soon be joining her.
RIP
Rest in peace, Rosalynn. Sending up a prayer for her loved ones.
They were the best married couple in the White House in all of the 20th century (the Trumans came close). If they can be remembered for that, all the other failures will dim with time. See you in paradise, madame First Lady.
Jimmy will also be gone within the month happens all the time they have been married for DECADES whatever will he has to live will be gone now!!
RIP. Very few couples live this long. And stay together.
1976 is 47 years ago.
She’s like forever ago yet also seems like yesterday.
They both have lived very long lives regardless of their politics they always gave above and beyond to others! RIP
One can only hope.
Yes indeed. Broken heart syndrome is a real thing.
(She did peacefully)
So did all editors.....
Definitely didn’t agree with their politics
But as I recall she was reasonably well-behaved in public AFAIK
Rosalyn Carter was a model First Lady. Unlike someone who followed her, she was proud to be a wife and mother who stayed home and baked cookies for her kids. That didn’t diminish her accomplishments as a political spouse, and she never exploited her husbands office to personally profit under the pretext of “having a career”. Also, no one questions the paternity of any of her children because she was a chaste wife. She will be missed.
what a life, and with her sweetheart at her side. RIP
RIP, Mrs. Carter.
Agreed. Good people, terrible politician.
God bless her and rest in peace.
Here we go with a royal funeral and DNC/DC gala pep rally.
