Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said she disagrees with the recent move by Moody’s Investors Service’s to shift the U.S. outlook from stable to negative.
“The American economy is fundamentally strong and Treasury securities remain the world’s preeminent safe and liquid asset,” Yellen said Monday following the APEC Finance Ministers’ Meeting in San Francisco.
The Moody’s move is “a decision that I disagree with,” Yellen added.
While the U.S. still has its “AAA” rating from Moody’s, the agency called higher interest rates and the rising debt a risk to America’s fiscal strength.

I disagree with my credit rating too. That does not make my creditors any more or less willing to lend to me at favorable rates.

Is Yellen’s disagreement transitory?

Of course you disagree Janet, you don’t want to take responsibility for helping cause the problem.

The economy is strong? Really?Maybe if you live in some of the wealthiest zip codes in the country - those clustered around Washington DC.
Places where you can own a million dollar home and a beach house while 'earning' less than $200,000 a year.

“a decision that I disagree with”
I got “let go” from a job while I was in high school. I disagreed with that as well. It didn’t get me rehired.
Yellen has just been told she is doing a lousy job. And she will change nothing to adjust her actions.

Moody’s is independent and objective.
Yellen is a political hack, with tons of personal self-interest in her statement. She has mis-represented the truth in most of her time in her role.

Yeh....Moody doesn’t know how to value things...just like President Trump.

Having taken Econ 101 as a freshman in the '60s, I know so much more about the subject than does Ms. Yellen.

The choice is between clueless stupidity or purposefully evil destruction. I no longer believe that any of these incompetent fools are simply stupid. They know the harm they cause.
