Have the Hamas attacks on Israel put "wokeness" on the ropes? Conservatives certainly seem to think so—and for some it's a purposeful strategy.
But some progressives are acknowledging the phenomenon, as well, due to an increasing number of left-wing college students and other progressives who are siding with Hamas-ruled Gaza after attacks on Israel that began October 7 resulting in the death of 1,400 Israelis and the kidnapping of some 200 men, women and children

Based on the number of large protests we’ve had in our country, I would say they’ve just amped up the woke.
I think a lot of them are permanently disturbed and will continue unabated

No. Woke has simply added Palestinians in Gaza to their victim lists to be supported.
It’s not the demise of woke. There needs to be something to replace woke ideologies. I haven’t seen a replacement. It certainly not MAGA. Massive numbers of woke people simply don’t turn into what they already hate. They might just take a brief sabbatical until a new moniker is applied to cultural Marxism.

NBC News altered a headline after Paul Kessler, a Jewish man, was killed following an “altercation” with pro-Palestinian protesters at a rally in California.
Kessler “was in a physical altercation with counter-protestor(s)” during which he “fell backwards and struck his head on the ground,” the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement.
The statement explained that the “Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the cause of death to be blunt force head injury and the manner of death homicide.”

People will fight more violently to preserve self-image than life itself. (E.g., "Death before dishonor") This is one of the reasons that people are so reluctant to admit that they were wrong. For some Jewish people, voting Republican will make them feel like Nazis. It would essentially be a repudiation of the faith of their fathers, and more importantly, their grandmothers. What would Nana think?
For wokesters admitting that they might have been wrong about anything, anything at all, will undermine and destroy their smug, self-satisfied world view. For wokesters there are no shades, no continuum. Either one is woke or one is troglodyte. To accept the possibility that Hamas is a morally repulsive movement means that maybe nuclear power might be superior to windmills, that fentanyl, not the police killed George Floyd, that Bidenomics is snake oil and adding to an unstainable national debt.
It would be like admitting that your father was right about something.

Not before a sweeping movement of anti-Semitism takes root and grows. Make no mistake, widespread anti-Semitism will become de rigeur and commonplace and hip and cool for some period of time.

It's insanity, these woke protests in our country, excusing the brutality of Hamas. I've read and watched accounts of the savage attacks by Hamas on Oct 7th. They shot many civilians that weren't Jews, some of which were foreign tourists or workers, and some were Arabs. They double-tapped a bullet into each victim's head to make sure they were dead. However, when they discovered a shot civilian was Arab they didn't shoot them in the head. Arab paramedics in Israel shot so they can't help victims, and they died but not shot in the head. And protesters here support Muslim Hamas terrorists but harass Jews here? Woke is sick!
The Left never stops. Even if they are crushed and defeated time and time again, they will never stop. The Right didn’t realize that and basked in victory not continuing the same level of fight after major victories as they had the day before victory...the Left just marched on like the defeat never occurred...and thus they changed the landscape to where the insane continues to become more normal.
