An enraged McDonald’s customer says the fast food franchise is no longer affordable for ordinary Americans, calling the company’s contemporary prices “crazy.”
“So, I get there’s a labor shortage, I get there’s wage increases and a number of other things,” Idaho man Christopher Olive began in a viral TikTok clip, which has recently resurfaced.
“But $16? $16 for a burger, a large fry and a drink? It’s just crazy!” the flabbergasted content creator complained, panning to his itemized receipt from a McDonald’s restaurant in the city of Post Falls. The video was original posted on social media last December, but has now gone viral again after McDonald’s recently reported an increase in revenue directly influenced by a “strategic” hike in menu prices.

I went to a Five Guys restaurant yesterday for the first time. $23 for a hamburger french fries and a drink.
I’ll go to Texas Roadhouse instead.
Not affordable and actually always terrible.
Gee, I have an idea. How about making your own damn meals at home.
I was at Burger King 3 days ago, for the first time in 6 months. Bacon Burger, medium fries and drink for $12.49. Rural Western Oregon.
Expensive, but not like the other prices mentioned here.

I have grandkids. I went to McDonalds and the order came to $32 plus. No offense to any great American business, but at that rate, I can buy four steaks and throw them on the grill. And that is what I do now.
Far be it for McDonald’s to decrease their profit margin. (awaiting that FReeper who pushes free enterprise, to the detriment of the rest of us, to chew me out.)

But fear not, fast-food fans. Our globalist masters want to replace beef on hamburgers with ground-up insects. That should drive down prices at least a little.

And at some point, government-forced higher “business” taxes and minimum wage will mean much fewer or no more McDonald’s outlets at all. So instead of whining like a little baby because of price, you’ll whine like a little baby because you won’t have any McDonald’s burgers at all to complain about.
